Close Out Games

Not sure about anyone else but I'm sick and tired of this unskilled Magic team. They do nothing but hack the crap out of our beloved Celtics. I full guarantee that tonight is the end for this Magic team. I expect everyone to be at their best! Let's Get it Cs! Cs are in black... Time to bury the Magic! Round two here we come!      JB opens us up with a deuce! JT finds Al and we are up early. Cs offense is a bit stagnant after the decent start. KP posts up and scores easily. NBA update the Pacers have beaten the Bucks and was this the last time Giannis wears a Bucks uniform. Here is my prediction the Pacers will beat the Cavs in seven. Cs offense needs to get going and Joe sees that. He gets the timeout and let's see how the Celtics respond. Cs aren't very impressive right now.       Cs need to go on a run here... Cs offense is slowly starting to get it going. Nice close to the first, now we go off in the second. Haven't hit one thre...

Payback Celtics Style

Cs have opened up this first quarter in a very solid place. Yet the lead isn't where it should be. These refs suck! Just throwing that out there today. Cs are getting screwed already. Just like Detriot did earlier... How awesome was it watching the Lakers lose! This Magic team is absolute trash. Cs will prevail tonight and finish this off Tuesday night. Celtics must separate themselves as we enter the second quarter. We can't allow this group of hackers to get any closer.      Did I mention how awful these refs are?! DWhite gets mauled like a bear and still scores plus the And One! JB called out the refs and the refs are giving the Magic all the calls. What a crock of malarkey! I'm disgusted by the NBA refs more so now than I've ever been. I not only watch the Celtics but all games. They are a joke! They screwed the Pistons and tried to screw the Wolves. Have I said how much Cole Anthony is just nothing more than a hacker... Dude has no game whatsoeve...

Awful refs

Jayson Tatum has reentered the conversation as he looks to bring the Celtics a road win. Unfortunately we have no Jrue Holiday tonight. KP gets inside early to kick off our scoring. I'd love for him to have a big game tonight. JT takes the rock to the whole like a man's man and scores easily. He honestly got hacked. JT pops back from three and goes nothing but net. So far so good and I see no ill effects from the wrist. A clear cut offensive goaltend goes uncalled...      Al nails his first shot from three! The man is ageless! This Orlando team is nothing more than a bunch of dirty punks. Thankfully we have a very mature team that isn't taking any gruff! The harder the Magic hack the better we play. Al earning Tommy points and finding DWhite for the three! JB is running on the fast break and sending home Jams! Cs looks pretty locked in early on. I'm gonna do a dance so we can increase this lead. Orlando calls a timeout and we are in their head... ...

No Tatum Tonight

Cs are without Jayson Tatum tonight, that doesn't mean the Cs shouldn't win... If the Cs defend as they should and move the ball on offense they will come out on top. So far JB has been his normal playoff self. I'm not very pleased with how we are shooting early on. Those numbers must go up to get things flowing in the right direction. Cs have been very aggressive at going to the hoop tonight. Cs are leaving plenty of points out here tonight. I'm hoping for a much smoother second as we move forward.       Porzingis is going to need to step up here in the second. His shooting wasn't very efficient. Just like that he gets the first shot of the second. KP still can't hit a three but he is getting to the line. If he can live at the line tonight I'll be alright with that outcome. PP with a corner bomb that gets the Garden going! Congratulations to PP on winning the NBAs sixth man of the year award. He joins some pretty special Celtics royalty wi...

NBA players choose five Celtics as "underrated" in recent poll

The Athletic recently polled current NBA players on various topics, and in their "Most Underrated" category - five of the 26 choices came from the Boston Celtics. I personally feel that the poll results indicate just how well The Green play together - and how each player swallows his ego and simply plays to win games. The results are below: Who is the league’s most underrated player? 136 votes cast Percentage of votes received for who is the league's most underrated player via The Athletic's polling of players. A total of 90 responses tabulated. Cade Cunningham 8.8% Derrick White 7.4% Norman Powell 4.4% Austin Reaves 3.7% Jrue Holiday 2.9% Jaren Jackson Jr. 2.9% Lu Dort 2.2% Trey Murphy III 2.2% Payton Pritchard 2.2% Cason Wallace 2.2% Aaron Wiggins 2.2% Jalen Williams 2.2% Jarrett Allen 1.5% Deni Avdija 1.5% Jaylen Brown 1.5% Toumani Camara 1.5% Dyson Daniels 1.5% Jalen Green 1.5% Tyler Herro 1.5% Ty Jerome 1.5% Naji Marshall 1.5% Jaden McDaniels 1.5% Naz Reid...

Easter Sunday equals Cs Win

I hope everyone had a great Easter with their families. I tried my best to get the most out of family time and watching the Cs. What I saw in that first half was a Celtics team that was rusty. Yes they built up a nice lead but quickly let it fall. During that time they missed shots that usually go in and their defense was a step slow. That half was the Magics opportunity to really grab a good lead and it was only one. This Magic team is very good defensively but can't hang with us on offense.        In that third quarter the Cs seemed to have gotten their legs and showed the Magic what's in store for them. I saw a more crisp offense and a very physical Celtics defense. The Jay's put up only half their typical output and yet we still rolled by twenty points. Derrick White is seen above put on an incredible performance. I have loved Derrick since we traded for him and he's one of my favorite players. His shot from deep was locked in and his d...

The Celtics 1986 starters were all Red Auerbach heists

Let's face it! The late Red Auerbach was not beloved by many in the NBA community - in large part because he was smarter and more-successful than most of them. Photos courtesy of Mary N. Thawley and Lisa Lane McCarty Bird was plucked from the 1978 draft as a "junior eligible" with the sixth-overall pick . Mychal Thompson, Phil Ford, Rick Robey (more on him later), Michael Ray Richardson and Purvis Short went with the first-through-fifth picks, respectively. Larry not only led Boston to three Championships - but also helped lift the League from hard times . By the way, the NBA changed the  draft rules after Auerbach had masterminded this specific heist. Robert Parish and Kevin McHale came to Boston in another Red sting operation . In the 1980 draft, Auerbach traded the first-overall pick (which became Joe Barry Carroll - who went to the Warriors) for the third-overall pick and Robert Parish . The feisty Auerbach with yet another lopsided (in his favor) deal. On to Red...

Finally its over!

Cs are looking to end the regular season on a high note. Cs have the stay ready group ready to roll! Luke looks as though he wants that Tommy award! PP and Sam are balling out and ready to roll! This stay ready group is always on tap to knock down shots! They are rolling this Hornets team as if they are a high school team. This week should determine who we see in the first round of the playoffs.       I mean it doesn't really matter who we see in the first round because we should roll em. Give me whoever and its a sweep! Come second round we can go sweep or gentleman's sweep, this Celtics team is a wagon. JB has received shots in his knee ans should be ready to explode in the playoffs. This post season run will be known as the JT coming out party. He will show why someday he's going to be an All Time NBA player.      Great thing about the post season is everyone feels they have a shot. Unfortunately for them is they have to b...

The moose are out! One tip that could save your car - or even your life

If you drive in northern New England, you have seen the signs .  "BRAKE FOR MOOSE. IT COULD SAVE YOUR LIFE." Moose/car collision a few miles from author's home As first a visitor to northern New Hampshire and Maine in the 1950s - and a permanent resident for the past 25 years - I have had numerous encounters with moose . Simply slowing down when you see a moose on the road may not be enough to avoid a collision.  When you spot a moose on the roadway, they are often motionless. But a driver can not assume they will remain that way. My experience has been that they often bolt directly into your path to get back into the woods.  Expect that to happen . Slow down to a crawl and proceed as though the huge animal is bent on its own destruction . Come to a complete stop, if necessary . Never assume they will remain in "statue mode".  It is now mid-April, and the moose are on the move . A collision with one often means the animal crashes through the windshield and ...

Why rivers, surf and waterfalls may make us feel better

Why do people generally feel better by a trout stream, waterfall or on the beach? Beyond the beauty of nature, there may be something else going on that puts us at ease when we are close to running water. When water molecules collide, they produce negative ions - also called anions. When we breath in these negatively-charged particles, they are said to increase levels of serotonin - the mood chemical ( Per webmd.com's Denise Mann ): "Once they reach our bloodstream, negative ions are believed to produce biochemical reactions that increase levels of the mood chemical serotonin, helping to alleviate depression, relieve stress, and boost our daytime energy." Can a person achieve this same benefit in their own home? Quite possibly! Standing under a warm shower may produce the same effect. And a simple indoor water fountain could work the same way. Does this really happen? Well, there is some sound science to back up the reality of this phenomenon, but there will be s...

Hornets A Buzz

🍀      Cs are author without Jaylen Brown tonight. I'm cool with it because he needs the rest. That knee needs rest and I'd even let him sit the first round of the playoffs. Cs will be ready for whoever comes their way come playoffs. I am curious how the west matchups shape up. Those teams are fighting for the three through six seeds. I mean even in the East some seeds are up for grabs. Once everything boils down I'd love to know our readers predictions.        Al Horford starts off the game with the BLOCK! Cs have found themselves missing a few too many shots early on. DWhite bags the first shot for the Cs. He liked it enough he scores again. DWhite nails the three with a hand in his face! Cs are a bit sloppy with the rock. I can't wait for DWhite to hit the playoffs and show everyone what he has.        All I want from the Cs is to get out of this game healthy. Looking like Luke and PP will be the first two off the bench. D...

Kristaps Porzingis has fulfilled Danny Ainge's wish for "shooting with size"

It was almost three years ago that (then) Celtics Head Honcho, Danny Ainge , voiced the need for his team to have a shooter at the big position . Well, Kristaps Porzingis certainly has the size at 7'2". And the guy can shoot - and hit - from anywhere on the court. With Danny Ainge off to Utah, present Celtics honcho, Brad Stevens made the move to acquire the Latvian big man when he became available. His height alone makes it difficult for defenders to block his shot attempts, and he gets his shots off fast - VERY fast . This season, he sits behind only the Jay Team duo in scoring at 19.7 PPG . Danny Ainge on 98.5 on what @Celtics need.... "I would say maybe shooting, with size. ... We could use shooting, we could use passing. But you always need defense. ... I think that shooting at the big position is something we haven't had." — Sean Deveney (@SeanDeveney) February 4, 2021 How about accuracy, you may ask. On that note, he is third on the team on accuracy fr...

Regular Season Mushes Along

🍀       The regular season marches on or in my opinion mushes along. It's gonna be a long night watching Brunson flop all over the court tonight. I don't like watching him play the game I love. KAT is another guy I don't care to watch. To be honest this entire Knicks roster can go kick rocks. I'm surprised the Cs are resting guys today. I sure hope they do tomorrow night.         Cs look to continue to dominate this inadequate Knicks team. KP looks like he was in an epic fight. I love everything KP brings to being a Celtic. KP gets us on the board as he scores over KAT. KAT is a defensive liability and honestly plays with no effort on D. DWhite with an early Tommy point and earns the Cs another possession. JT nails the three, it was a perfect swish. He knows how to put the biscuit in the basket!      Cs are off to a very slow start on offense. The defense needs to get things going too! If they can get them both going they sho...

Cs look to put a spell on the Wizards

🍀       DWhite opens us up with a deep three! Followed up by Luke with the deuce off the glass. Jrue for three! The Celtics are rolling early on! JB gets to thr rack and scores off the glass. Cs are looking very elite with their passing early on. Luke Kornet is an absolute beast! Which is why he's a big dawg! I absolutely love Luke Kornet. He's such a solid big that compliments this team so very well.        These Wizards have come to play despite being a dumpster fire of a team. How can a team be so bad?! I guess it has to do with being poorly constructed and coached. I really feel the NBA needs to move some teams from where they are. Wizards could definitely be one of those teams. Send em to Las Vegas or Seattle. A once proud franchise has become a joke in the NBA. Yet the NBA will never contract, they will only expand.       It's finally getting here the end of this regular season. The regular season has dragged on so slowl...

Suns set in Boston

🍀       Cs look to bounce back from that loss on Wednesday night. They welcome the Suns who they rolled by thirty points last week. Let's hope they can duplicate that tonight. It looks like most of the Cs should be playing tonight. Cs are going to be epic come playoff time with their three headed monster in the post. KP, Al, and Luke are all playing elite basketball. I trust all three will make huge plays during the playoffs. Cs have a very deep roster that will shine once the playoffs start.       JBs haircut is smooth folks! JB drives early on and gets fouled. I like the way he consistently attacks the cup when he gets the rock. JB needs one more point to pass Antoine Walker on the Celtics scoring record list. Right there he scores and there it is! Way to go JB! Toine was always a favorite of mine, and had many memorable plays in Celtic green. We all remember his inspiring speech that led to a huge Celtics comeback vs the Nets in the Eastern Coferen...
