Celtics acquire championship DNA.

First off how about this move! Some might say the C's gave up too much but... not me. Malcolm Brogdon was incredible for the Celtics last season until he got hurt. He won the sixth man of the year award and was one of my favorites last season. Yet I feel Jrue is a better overall player. Tough to see Rob go though, I remember the day he was drafted and how excited I was.  On to Jrue Holiday who brings championship DNA! That run they had I watched most of their games and he was vital to that title. Jrue plays exceptional defense and his offensive game is solid as a rock! This dude is CLUTCH! A huge upgrade over Marcus Smart. Holiday and White at the starting guards is gonna be hell for other teams. Couple that with the Jays and Zingus oh boy!  The key to any season is health... if these Cs are healthy the league runs through them. Followed by the Bucks, Nuggets and Suns. Every other team is flawed and honestly not worthy of winning a ring.  Bleed Green! Celtic Pride!...

He's back and he's getting paid!

Not sure what took so long... But JB is back baby! C's fans I need your feedback and reactions to this huge signing. That's a lot of money! Expect JT to get his bag as well.  To me this means no Dame rumours should ever gain traction again. Yet there are still questions about this roster. Will we see it fill out after this big announcement?!  I would say JB is going to have another career year after getting this contract done. So much for he hates Boston people out there. Now it's time for he and JT to bring home Banner 18! JB with the RICHEST CONTRACT IN NBA HISTORY... A stick tap to Patrice Bergeron on a hell of a career. It's truly to bad he only won one cup.  We here at the Sentinel pray for Bronny James recover.

Danny Ainge will act according to his Title-window and that of the Jay Team

My recent Twitter poll indicates that Celtics followers heavily favor bringing in reinforcements , rather than keeping the status quo or a major shakeup , the two extremes of Danny Ainge's potential choices. Our poll revealed an overwhelming desire for Danny Ainge to bring in reinforcements. No status quo. No shakeup. The present Celtics crew won't win a Title this season. But major trades aren't needed. The best answer usually resides in the middle-ground. https://t.co/VzMbagbg1D — Tom Lane (@CelticsSentinel) March 12, 2021 It was only one game, but the Nets' 129-109 defeat of the Boston Celtic s last night (minus Kevin Durant ) is one indicator that there are a number of teams out there very-capable of eliminating The Green in the post-season. Rest assured that Ainge, prior to making any pre-deadline decisions, is looking closely at his remaining tenure in Boston and the potential Title window of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. IMO a team with Durant, Harden and Irvin...

With 24 games to go, time to put Gordon Hayward back into the starting lineup

There are only 24 regular season games remaining in the Celtics regular season schedule. In last night's win over the Detroit Pistons, Gordon Hayward was back in the starting-5 , replacing the injured Kyrie Irving . Jayson Tatum moved back to his somewhat-familiar shooting guard slot, and almost everything seemed to work well. In 34 minutes of action last night, Hayward garnered 18 points, five rebounds and eight assists (with only two turnovers) . Over the last three games , he has averaged 21 points on 63%/69%/89% from the field, beyond the arc and from the charity stripe, respectively. You might say that Gordon is back! I see Al Horford, Kyrie Irving (when healthy) and Gordon as mainstays in the starting-5 . The Marcus Smart-as-starter experiment has worked nicely, and that may stay the same. He gets his team energized right out of the gate. But this is the way I see it. Gordon Hayward is out here tossing defenders like children lets goooooooooooo pic.twitter.com/k0...
