NBA.com picks Jayson Tatum as a lock for All-Star starter in East

 As of today, January 4, 2024, five writers for NBA.com unanimously picked the Celtics Jayson Tatum as a frontcourt starter in the upcoming 2024 NBA All-Star contest.    Other locks by NBA.com were Tyrese Haliburton in the backcourt, along with Joel Embiid and Giannis Antetokounmpo in the frontcourt . Tyrese Maxey, (twice)  Jalen Brunson, Trae Young and Donovan Mitchell also received votes to possibly join Haliburton at the guard position.

Post-season breaks are on Celtics side - the time is NOW

 The Celtics no longer have to worry about the Milwaukee Bucks who were ousted from the post-season bo the New York Knicks . And should they finally put away the Atlanta Hawks , they would have home-court advantage for the rest of the playoffs. Their second-round opponent would be the Philadelphia 76'ers and Philly is currently without Joel Embiid who is out with a right knee injury. Meaning, that Boston should do everything in their power to take Game-6 in Atlanta tonight and hope Philly's big man doesn't return, at least for the first two games in Boston. So the stage is set. Boston was not able to win their fourth game versus the Hawks with Dejounte Murray among the missing due to a one-game suspension.         1st Quarter        Defensively Hawks Lit Up Celtics     Trae Young was able to thwart what the Celtics did trying to trap him . While the Celtics did get a few steals, the Hawks had way too many open threes . Huerter looked like a HOF in the first. Knocking down everything he took.
