Hornets A Buzz

 🍀

Cs are author without Jaylen Brown tonight. I'm cool with it because he needs the rest. That knee needs rest and I'd even let him sit the first round of the playoffs. Cs will be ready for whoever comes their way come playoffs. I am curious how the west matchups shape up. Those teams are fighting for the three through six seeds. I mean even in the East some seeds are up for grabs. Once everything boils down I'd love to know our readers predictions.

Al Horford starts off the game with the BLOCK! Cs have found themselves missing a few too many shots early on. DWhite bags the first shot for the Cs. He liked it enough he scores again. DWhite nails the three with a hand in his face! Cs are a bit sloppy with the rock. I can't wait for DWhite to hit the playoffs and show everyone what he has.

All I want from the Cs is to get out of this game healthy. Looking like Luke and PP will be the first two off the bench. DWhite earns the first Tommy point of the game. What a block from DWhite! He's a a defensive wizard! White with another block! What a quarter he's having. I'm ALL IN with the Celtics going back to back.

🍀🍀

I love this team and really want to see them go back to back. They will have to be locked in defensively. If they are they will prevail. The way their defense leads to offense is a thing of beauty. This Hornets team is a complete mess. Kudos to MJ for selling when he did. These Hornets are competing and have a lead.

As I've said before I am not worried about facing the Cavs. They have played really well all year but they are nothing special. In the second round I would not be surprised to see them lose to the Pacers or Bucks. Out West I see the Thunder winning, unless Jokic goes nuclear in these playoffs. Crazy they fired their Coach and GM. Just like the Grizz firing their Coach.

Al Horford never seems to age, he's just solid. He a rock and pillar for this team. A guy who came here all those years ago and set his mark on Boston. He left briefly but once he came back he seemed even better. He's a definite lock for the Hall of Fame someday. Cs are in a tight one vs the Hornets.

Cs use the second to finally turn things up and totally blow the doors off the Hornets. Let's say they swatted em pretty good! Good performances from the silky sweet shooters of Sam and PP. I tell you with the depth of this team no one is beating us other than ourselves in a seven game series. I love what Luke and Queta brought tonight and all season. Those are two quality bigs to have on your roster. One down one to go and then it's the big show.

Celtic Pride! Bleed Green! C US Rise!

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S...

Did the Celtics Kevin McHale really have a wingspan of 8-feet?

According to many sources, the Celtics Kevin McHale did indeed have an estimated wingspan of 8-feet. One of those sources is Wikipedia, as seen below: Kevin McHale American basketball player DescriptionKevin Edward McHale is an American retired basketball player who played his entire professional career for the Boston Celtics. He is a Basketball Hall of Fame inductee, and is regarded as one of the best power forwards of all time. He was named to the NBA's 50th Anniversary All-Time Team.
