Luke Kornet Will Be Big This Season

Luuuuuuuuuukkkkkkkkkkke!      Sitting here watching tonight's preseason game and the way the C's are feeding Luke the rock. I expect him to have a huge impact this season. There will be no KP and Al doesn't play back to backs. This will be his opportunity to show he's a solid big. The man hustles and has a high basketball IQ. He knows where to be around the rim. Solid rebounder overall and adequate on offense. Defensively he positions himself well enough to not be a liability. I'm sure he will share minutes with Till who I also expect to have a heck of a year.        Just imagine how the 5 position is going to be a strength for these C's. With Luke and Till getting more run with the top Dawgs their skill sets will grow. Add to the mix Al being Al who is solid as a rock. Then eventually when KP gets back, the league better watch out. Sleeper for the C's bigs is Quetta, expect him to get some run and show what he's working with.      ...

ECF Game 1

At the half the C's and Pacers are tied, C's have way too many turnovers. Their defense wasn't up to par in that second quarter. It would be nice to see the C's move the ball as they did earlier in the game. Lock in on D in the third and good things will come. If the C's do that I'm confident they will win.  3rd Quarter  Al plays great D and blocks Siakims shot. That's the kind of D that needs to be played. Al is the first to score for the C's with a three. JB uses the euro step and scores. Off the steal JT scores and should have gotten the and one. These Celtics really need to lock in on D. Or it's not gonna end the way we want. Jrue with a big three early on. JT with a nice fall away. I like JTs willingness to get in the post and back guys up. He should be able to do this at will this entire series. I also feel Jrue has that same ability vs these Pacer guards. JBs D leads to a steal and he's going to the line. He may not have made the all def...

Not the way to play

C's with another tough road game, this time in the city of brotherly love. I would expect to see a team that's foaming at the mouth after their loss to the TWolves. Generally the great teams don't take too kindly to losing. I want to see a statement win and a team locked in on D. We get the return of Derrick White after the birth of his second child. Truly one of life's greater blessings.  1st Quarter 🏀 C's can't find the basket early on... Not the start I expected. Too many threes, yet we get JT to the rack with a two handed JAM! His driving ability has become spectacular! The way he uses his body and skill set is a true sign of his maturity.  Stick Tap to the Celtics defense in the first quarter. The offense is still pretty sluggish tonight. JB needs to continue to attack the rim because his shot is off right now. JTs court vision is second to none lately. He always finds the right guy! C's despite a choppy start have found themselves with the lead.  Toni...

Changing of the guards: Brian Shaw's contract issue

How many Celtics fans remember this? Brian   Shaw and Reggie Lewis, possibly the future of the Celtics back court in the the early 90s. They had Dee Brown and Kevin Gamble, both who showed talent, plus the Big 3 still giving their all despite getting up there in age, plus injuries.       We all remember Brian Shaw for his contract issues with the Celtics . Signing with the good guys, then Roma, and again with the Celtics. This contract case is used now, even today, as legal precedent. What if he hadn't pulled this crap? We all know he was eventually traded to the Heat for Sherman Douglas, who we all know Larry Bird loved. Just imagine if he stayed and other pieces fell into place.       Would a youthful core of Shaw, Gamble, Brown and Reggie have led to opportunities for those 90s teams to sustain competitiveness as each member of the Big 3 gracefully retired or moved on? Shaw's ability to play both guard positions m...

Celtics Pride - The Familia

The Celtics organization has always been a family, that Celtics Pride being passed down from generation to generation. There has always been a true sense of pride from the players, coaches, and of course, the fans! Do we see that in today's players or has free agency and player friendships ruined that?       Through the 50s and 60s we were given hard working players who played for the name on the front of the jersey not the back. Special players like Bill Russell, Tommy Henisohn, Sam Jones, KC Jones and we can't forget Hondo on those teams! Plus so many other greats who started that Celtics familia and Celtics Pride led by Arnold Red Auerbach!       The 70s brought us players like Dave Cowens, JoJo White , of course, "Jarrin John" Havlicek in a new decade - and so many more hard working players who played for that name on the front! Their play on the floor was toughness and team oriented! They bled Celtics Green!  ...
