Celtics take sting out of Hornets, 113-107

1st Quarter      Hitting the ground running tonight, it's early but the Celtics energy is high, and they are ready to compete! This Hornets team is quite nicely constructed, and will be tough to beat in this must win game. Imagine if instead of going after Kemba we had kept Terry Rozier. We would have him and The Wolverine as a one two punch as interchangeable pieces.        Last five games four of the Celtics five starters are leading in plus/minus. Can our readers tell us who?  Talk about hustle with Al keeping the ball alive, then RWill gets it to JT for two, huge play early on. Let's hope that report earlier today saying JB may want out if things go south. If I'm Brad I'm making sure he knows we will find a way to make it work. My previous article looking at the Celtics trio of Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum and Kemba Walker becoming the modern version of the Warrior's Run -TMC got some reader attention. Run-TMC was labeled by the Boston Globe as the best NBA-related nickname at the time. Should the Jay Team and Kemba click on the hardwood, I am labeling the trio THE JAY-WALKERS, at least for now. Hey, it's the off-season - things are slow - and let us know if you have a better moniker. I bet you do. HyderMan implied that the Run-TMC threesome of Tim Hardaway, Mitch Richmond and Chris Mullin put up big scoring numbers with efficient percentages. He was right. The trio shot 48%, 49% and 54%, respectively, on field goals while averaging a combined 72.5 PPG in the 1990-91 Golden Sate season. Brown, Tatum and Walker show 47%, 45% and 43% last season on field goals, while contributing a combined 54.3 Points/game.
