Changing of the guards: Brian Shaw's contract issue

      How many Celtics fans remember this? Brian   Shaw and Reggie Lewis, possibly the future of the Celtics back court in the the early 90s. They had Dee Brown and Kevin Gamble, both who showed talent, plus the Big 3 still giving their all despite getting up there in age, plus injuries.       We all remember Brian Shaw for his contract issues with the Celtics . Signing with the good guys, then Roma, and again with the Celtics. This contract case is used now, even today, as legal precedent. What if he hadn't pulled this crap? We all know he was eventually traded to the Heat for Sherman Douglas, who we all know Larry Bird loved. Just imagine if he stayed and other pieces fell into place.       Would a youthful core of Shaw, Gamble, Brown and Reggie have led to opportunities for those 90s teams to sustain competitiveness as each member of the Big 3 gracefully retired or moved on? Boston Celtics B List All-Stars

 There are 3 major questions that will be debated on Causeway Street until the end of time "What would have happened if Len Bias lived?" "How can anybody possibly root for the Lakers?" "What is your All-time Celtics starting 5?" John Karalis's new book "The Boston Celtics All-Time All-Stars" attempts to answer #3, as he chronicles the history of the franchise through each position, and attempts to make a team of 12 players for the All-Time Celtics. This is a wonderful exercise, as Celtics history is littered with incredible players, making for a lively argument with any C's fan. In the spirit of this, I decided to look back and create a Celtics "B-List" starting 5. You likely won't find any of these guys in any books, as none of them could ever be considered among the greats.
