Yes, it actually happened. As the Boston Celtics were preparing to take on the Oklahoma City Thunder, Marcus Smart attended the West Virginia-Oklahoma State contest and actually drew a technical foul on a West Virginia player that turned the tide in Oklahoma State's favor. A West Virginia player apparently had a running discourse with The Wolverine during the game, and this same player made a lewd gesture to Smart - resulting in a technical foul and a comeback by his alma mater to win the game. Marcus Smart is known for making winning plays on the floor - but apparently he makes them from the stands also. I love this kind of story about one of my favorite players.
