No Tatum Tonight

Cs are without Jayson Tatum tonight, that doesn't mean the Cs shouldn't win... If the Cs defend as they should and move the ball on offense they will come out on top. So far JB has been his normal playoff self. I'm not very pleased with how we are shooting early on. Those numbers must go up to get things flowing in the right direction. Cs have been very aggressive at going to the hoop tonight. Cs are leaving plenty of points out here tonight. I'm hoping for a much smoother second as we move forward.

Porzingis is going to need to step up here in the second. His shooting wasn't very efficient. Just like that he gets the first shot of the second. KP still can't hit a three but he is getting to the line. If he can live at the line tonight I'll be alright with that outcome. PP with a corner bomb that gets the Garden going! Congratulations to PP on winning the NBAs sixth man of the year award. He joins some pretty special Celtics royalty with that award. What I love about PP is he is looking forward to pursuing Banner 19.

Excellent out of bounds play leading KP to the JAM! Cs are making their run right here! KP is cooking and the defense looks good! Jrue Holiday with the drive and JAM! He turned back the clock and jumped out of the gym! KCP is a dirty son of a gun, he just committed another flagrant foul this time when Al didn't even have the rock. These refs suck! This Magic team plays like a bunch of dirty losers. Al off glass and gets the and one! Al is gonna go off in tonight's game.

JB with the step back three that shook the rim! JB AGAIN! JB is gonna go off in this second half! AL earns the Cs an extra possession that in a DWhite corner three! Cs come out punching! Time to land some more haymakers. What a block by Al! Cs are letting the Magic climb back in after that run. Joe calls a much needed timeout. We had em on the ropes and gave them life. I need that punch you in the mouth energy off this timeout. Jrue with the old man move right there! Using his body that's built like a rock!

JB with back to back baskets! One of which was a dunk that rocked the rim! JB with the finger roll! That was freaking beautiful! He's playing one of his best playoff games tonight. He's a guy who can lead a team to a championship! KP goes down and starts gushing blood. Yet gets up and looks to the crowd for cheers! Love this dude! Jrue nails a sweet shot for the And One! Cs continue to push the lead as we are in the final quarter.

Joe takes a timeout as the lead is cut to seven. Time for them to make that game winning run, right here right now! We need a good set offensive play right here. Great give and go by AL and JB! JB goes at the elbow thrower and draws the foul. JB has played an incredibly balanced game. Cs are cleaning up the glass on both ends! DWhite with a clutch offensive board for the deuce. KP is back in the game! These fans are on their feet! White gets called for a garbage call and on the other end nails a three! The Man is clutch!

KCP hasn't hit the front side of a barn all game. Huge floater from JB there! JB brings the rain on that fall away jumper! That shot was INCREDIBLE! Cs with the rock and the Sixth Man of the year scores a huge basket. Cs show their championship toughness tonight. Cs win a hard fought battle despite not having Jayson Tatum. That's two down and two to go!

C US Rise! Bleed Green! Celtic Pride!

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S...
