Not the way to play

C's with another tough road game, this time in the city of brotherly love. I would expect to see a team that's foaming at the mouth after their loss to the TWolves. Generally the great teams don't take too kindly to losing. I want to see a statement win and a team locked in on D. We get the return of Derrick White after the birth of his second child. Truly one of life's greater blessings.

1st Quarter 🏀

C's can't find the basket early on... Not the start I expected. Too many threes, yet we get JT to the rack with a two handed JAM! His driving ability has become spectacular! The way he uses his body and skill set is a true sign of his maturity.

Stick Tap to the Celtics defense in the first quarter. The offense is still pretty sluggish tonight. JB needs to continue to attack the rim because his shot is off right now. JTs court vision is second to none lately. He always finds the right guy! C's despite a choppy start have found themselves with the lead.

Tonight feels like another dog fight kinda game. Good news is JT hasn't gotten started yet and expect him to have a big one tonight.

2nd Quarter ☘️🍀

As if he heard my words, JT to the rack and lays it in! JTs court vision once again is on point as he finds Sam I am for a three! The C's lead has dwindled, I'm not the Coach but a timeout is needed. Joe calls it but way too late. The lead is only two...

Personally I don't find these Sixers to be that impressive. Same old Sixers, they will have a good regular season and lose in the playoffs. Sam I Am fires back and get some points back for us. Sam I am is having a nice shooting night. Good to see DWhite back in the line up. If we had him against the wolves we would have won.

Not impressed by the Cs up to this point in the game. This Sixers team isn't anything special. It would be nice to see them lock them down and go on a run. Need to get Porzingis involved on the offensive end. Great execution with the ball movement, eventually landing in Porzingis's hands for the deuce.

The C's don't seem to be clicking as a unit tonight. Defensively they are playing better than on offense. I hope they iron things out at the half. Tatum needs to be the guy in the third and fourth quarters. Very disappointed with the play in first half. C's trail by seven. For the first time all year they trail at the half.

3rd Quarter 🏀🏀🏀

Why is Embid can throw himself into everyone and get the call. Those should be offensive fouls. For a big guy he plays very soft. Even when he's flopping into our defenders. Man Porzingis makes a great play and there's yet another terrible call by the refs. C's need to stand strong and over come these bad calls!

JB continues to drive into traffic and lose the ball. He's very pig headed sometimes, stop dribbling so much! JT and DWhite with back to back threes! It's so great seeing DWhite back! He brings it his all on the floor. Somehow the C's have a shot to grab the lead... Yet they can't...

Al Horford with an epic block to lead us into a timeout. It's going to take the C's a lot to pull this one out. They need to grind it out on both ends. Very disappointed with the end of the third. C's look like disjointed.

4th Quarter ☘️🍀☘️🍀

C's come up with a few quick buckets to cut into the lead. Porzingis with a three and now they need to play some D. Which doesn't look like it's going to happen. Not sure what's going on tonight but this isn't the Celtics team I expected.

Cs haven't brought the energy necessary to win tonight. The lead is at seven for the Sixers. Tonight up to this point, the Celtics have underperformed. The refs have sucked and the Sixers have taken advantage of it.

Jaylen Turnover Brown needs to stop shooting the ball. He's been awful tonight. I'm not sure what happened tonight but these C's put up enough bricks to build a house. I could care less next game is for the play in garbage, to me it's about playing better basketball. Which also means winning!

Not sure how long into last season it took me to be disgusted with a result, but tonight hits that mark. Tonight meant more to Philly than it did the C's. C's just don't realize they get everyone's best each and every game. Kudos to the Sixers for the regular season win. Come playoffs they will choke per usual.

Goodnight Cs fans. On to Friday night...

Did the Celtics Kevin McHale really have a wingspan of 8-feet?

Nik Stauskas adds "shooting with size" voiced by Brad Stevens

As a 6'6" shooting guard, 28-year-old Nik Stauskas adds that shooting with size sorely needed by the Boston Celtics. Drafted 8th-overall by the Sacramento Kings in 2014, Stauskas has bounced around to various teams since then. Nik Stauskas' deal with the Boston Celtics includes non-guaranteed salary for the second season in 2022-23, a source tells @celticsblog . — Keith Smith (@KeithSmithNBA) March 4, 2022 Nik has never averaged more than 9.5 points per game in the NBA, but Boston is most likely counting on his production for Grand Rapids in the G League as the incentive to sign him. In 17 games thus far, he has averaged 24.7 PPG, 6.2 RPG, 4.8 APG - while shooting 50% on field goals and 45% on treys. Nik Stauskas is signing a two-year deal with the Boston Celtics, his agents Mark Bartelstein and Andy Shiffman of @PrioritySports tell ESPN.
