An early, but realistic, pitch for Pritchard

Only three games! Only pre-season! Payton Pritchard's minutes have risen from game-to-game, going from 18 MPG - to 21 MPG - and finally to 27 MPG. That averages out to 22 minutes per contest. Extrapolating his stats to per-36-minutes status reveals : 19.7 points/game - 4.3 rebounds/game - 9.1 assists/game - 42.9 %FG - 36.8% 3s That may be why his time on the floor keeps rising. He can score at the hoop and well away from it. He rebounds well for a little guy. He is an adept facilitator. And he works his butt off at both ends of the floor. Pritchard is a gamer, and don't try to tell him otherwise. In a previous article, I c ompared Payton to Gail Goodrich , who - when given more floor time - flourished to the tune of five All-Star nods and one Title . No guarantees, but Pritchard may very well have some "Stumpy" Goodrich in him and star when given the opportunity by the Celtics or a rival team.

Born in Salem, Massachusetts, Vonleh was taken with the 9th-overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft , but has yet to supply the promise he displayed at Indiana as a collegian. Brad Stevens is hoping that changes in Beantown. If we can see repeats of this game, Noah Vonleh is in with Boston. His footwork is decent inside, and he seemed to have little trouble scoring down low . At 6'10" and 257 pounds, it is unlikely he will get bullied close to the hoop. He is an excellent rebounder. In short, the N...
