Sunday Night Basketball

Man oh man Queta is the Pride of Portugal! Heck he's the Pride of Celtics fans! What a game! Anyone who doesnt think Queta can be special has another thing coming. Every year since he became a Celtic he's improved and will only continue to get better. He's an asset as we approach playoff time. You have to truly value an undersized big who can score and rebound at the rate he does. The man just brings pure joy when he's on the floor. He's a huge reason why this season has been one of my favorites to watch as a fan. When I say I love the Celtics I really mean it.

What can you say about a team that is playing this way. Everyone who entered last night's contest provided us with winning plays. You have to love seeing the bench get excited for one another out there. There is a joy for these guys watching each other succeed. There is no I in team and this TEAM is a cohesive unit. For all these media people riding Jayson Tatum leave the young man alone. He will come back when he's cleared and when he feels he's ready. God Bless him for rehabbing so well but let's give the kid some grace. Sports media sometimes is a dumpster fire of negativity. I don't like Pitino but he was spot on. Sometimes the negativity in this town SUCKS!

Anyone else surprised that Payton Pritchard didn't score a single bucket last night?! That's crazy to me given how well he's played this season especially when coming off the bench. I mean we all have those days. I expect PP to lock in tonight and put up about 30. I think back to back in today's NBA suck. The quality of the game is diminished. Half the time no one plays anyways. Why would I pay for a game of bench guys. It's unfortunate but money and analytics have ruined the game in a lot of ways. With that said I hope the Cs keep winning! Celtic Pride!

A sorrowful farewell to Kitty's Restaurant (North Reading, MA) as a family tradition

Time to say "Goodbye" to Kitty's Restaurant - my   family's destination and tradition for six generations and more than 80 years. My memories of Kitty's go back to the early-1950's . I would accompany my dad and grandfather on fishing trips to the Ipswich River in North Reading, Massachusetts - followed by a visit to the restaurant on Main Street. In later years, my wife, Linda, and I would eat there with our two kids, Marc and Lisa - and years later - with our two grand daughters - and still later - with our great grandson, Carson. Author and family at Kitty's approx. 10 years ago Kitty's never disappointed. The drinks were big and well-made . The food was terrific - as were the portions. The service was exceptional and we became well-acquainted with the waiters and waitresses. It all worked so very well for many decades. My grand daughter, Courtney , was particularly fond of the restaurant. She was born with cystic fibrosis , and during her fr...
