Friday Night Feast

How about the performance from this entire Celtics team. Everyone who entered the game scored. Even the bench guys who very rarely play. Talk about offensive efficiency. Tonight was Vucs coming out party and why the Cs traded for him. He led the way with along with JB scoring 28 points. I think anyone who has watched Vuc over the years knows how good he is. The man is a walking double double and doesn't take games off for load management. It was nice seeing him in the post but man he lit it up from deep. His rebounding is exceptional and he fits this team really well. He's a guy Brad has always coveted and could have a nice run here in Boston.

JB has simply been one of the top players in the entire NBA. He's honestly the best two way player in the game. I always knew JB was going to be good the moment we drafted him. There was always a reason why Danny drafted him and Brad wanted him. What we are seeing this season is a masterclass in greatness. His overall game has improved so much from top to bottom. His rebounding, passing, and scoring are elite. Sometimes he dribbles a bit too much but we will take it. Sam, DW, Baylor, all hit over ten plus last night and PP added twenty two. Talk about balance and everyone making their mark on this game.

While giving up the amount points they did isn't ideal overall this season Defense has been the Cs calling card. All sports want more scoring and I'm here begging for hard-core defense. This Celtics team makes me proud when they dig in and grind every game. This really is a very balanced team on all fronts and when JT comes back that just adds additional punch and drive toward Banner 19. The East has some decent teams but I only worry about the Pistons given how well they have played. Cade is an MVP level player and Duren is a monster.

Cs next game will be Sunday vs the Sixers and I hope we roast em. Shootout to the Michigan Wolverines winning the Big 10 regular season title. Up next the Big 10 conference title and hopefully an NCAA championship. Can't wait till Sunday as we watch our Cs surge! Celtic Pride!

A sorrowful farewell to Kitty's Restaurant (North Reading, MA) as a family tradition

Time to say "Goodbye" to Kitty's Restaurant - my   family's destination and tradition for six generations and more than 80 years. My memories of Kitty's go back to the early-1950's . I would accompany my dad and grandfather on fishing trips to the Ipswich River in North Reading, Massachusetts - followed by a visit to the restaurant on Main Street. In later years, my wife, Linda, and I would eat there with our two kids, Marc and Lisa - and years later - with our two grand daughters - and still later - with our great grandson, Carson. Author and family at Kitty's approx. 10 years ago Kitty's never disappointed. The drinks were big and well-made . The food was terrific - as were the portions. The service was exceptional and we became well-acquainted with the waiters and waitresses. It all worked so very well for many decades. My grand daughter, Courtney , was particularly fond of the restaurant. She was born with cystic fibrosis , and during her fr...
