On The Road Again

Cs are in Brooklyn looking for a win despite being shorthanded. There are plenty of Celtics fans here in Brooklyn. Sam opens up the scoring from three tonight. Baylor follows up with his own three. Great job by Queta going after the miss and earning the C's an extra possession. PP scores to make that Queta hustle play worth while. Cs ball movement has been excellent so far. Cs have let up too many easy shots to the Nets. Cs have lost their early lead as we have a timeout on the floor.

JB has been off so far tonight, hopefully going to the line will get him going. And... he misses the first. Cs have been underwhelming to this point. Simons hits the three and things may be looking up. It would be nice if the Cs can go on a run here. Finish this first quarter the right way! Cs call the timeout as Joe is pissed with their defense. I don't blame him one bit! Tear into em Joe! Cs finish on a decent run but still trail at the half. They better wake the heck up in the second half.

Despite the fact they aren't playing their best, the Cs are in the lead. PP has been playing like a mad man! Luka making a huge play knocking it off the Netz player out of bounds. Hugo stealing a dudes lunch and scoring off glass. Guys are making plays at the right time. They are playing with a lot of toughness. The defense has really amped up and have caused the Nets issues. The Cs are swarming! Cs are going to need to do more though if they want this win. The free throw disparity is disgusting.

This fourth has been blow after blow like a good boxing match. Luka Garza is even bleeding, shows how hard this game is. Garza with the EMPHATIC BLOCK! GET THAT BLEEP THE HECK OUT OF HERE! Cs are starting to land some haymakers now! I love the toughness I'm seeing put of them. Basketball is a tough sport and should be played that way! Sometimes it looks like JB is gliding out there then he kicks it into overdrive! Simons scores going to the cup aggressively. Cs are exerting their will here in the fourth. Cs have really put together a good fourth quarter. Now they just need to finish it off! PP for three!!! Cs by ten! Let's Go!

We find ourselves in over time due to losing our lead. We need to learn how to close these games out. JB levitates in the air and finds PP for the HuGE three! Cs were dead in the water and yet HUGO is HUGE and hits the game tying three! Are you kidding me!?! What a shot! That overtime had me feeling all types of emotions. Joe was huge at adjusting that final play by getting Hugo in there. Cs really need to pull this one out. JB gets to the cup with a chance for a three point play. The MVP chants are ringing loud in Brooklyn. Pritch with a huge dish to Williams for the deuce! Plus the And One! Sam hits a huge corner bomb for the four point lead! Big possession here and PP gets the lefty layup! Clutch play! Clutch shot! Celtics Win! Celtic Pride!

A sorrowful farewell to Kitty's Restaurant (North Reading, MA) as a family tradition

Time to say "Goodbye" to Kitty's Restaurant - my   family's destination and tradition for six generations and more than 80 years. My memories of Kitty's go back to the early-1950's . I would accompany my dad and grandfather on fishing trips to the Ipswich River in North Reading, Massachusetts - followed by a visit to the restaurant on Main Street. In later years, my wife, Linda, and I would eat there with our two kids, Marc and Lisa - and years later - with our two grand daughters - and still later - with our great grandson, Carson. Author and family at Kitty's approx. 10 years ago Kitty's never disappointed. The drinks were big and well-made . The food was terrific - as were the portions. The service was exceptional and we became well-acquainted with the waiters and waitresses. It all worked so very well for many decades. My grand daughter, Courtney , was particularly fond of the restaurant. She was born with cystic fibrosis , and during her fr...
