Thus far, only one member of the Boston Celtics, Jaylen Brown, is heading for the 2026 All-Star game. The reserves are yet to be named. The NBA head coaches will decide who they are, and Boston's Derrick White has a shot to make the list.
John Schuhmann of nba.com has included White as one of the seven reserves he feels should head to the mid-season festivities. The Celtics have overachieved themselves into second place in the East standings, and despite having some difficulties putting the ball in the basket thus far this season, Derrick is a major part of the reason The Green are thriving.
In a League filled with self promoting players, White remains quiet and reserved. There is little fanfare about him, but the NBA coaches should have a high level of respect for what he does on the court. His hustle and defense never fade. White never gives up on a play.
Here's hoping "The Quiet Man" gets voted in to accompany his comrade, Jaylen Brown, to the All-Star game.
