A New Year...

      Happy New Year Cs fans!

Cs are flat right now and need to get going. They must be hungover from last night? PP scores and I'm off the ledge... PP scores again and he might go off. Another shot for PP! He's on a heater folks. This Kings team came to play tonight. Cs really need to get some stops, and they better start playing with more effort. If they don't this could end up being a loss. I can't believe I'm going to say this but my favorite red is doing tonight's game. The great Bill Kennedy!

Cs are a tad turnover prone lately and that is going to cost them as it did in Portland. Luka Garza and Simons hit back to back threes! We are all tied up folks! Cs fans are rocking it out here in Sacramento. You have to love how Celtics fans travel. Cs are playing zone and I think it's a great strategy. Brad Stevens has done a great job overall finding guys who fit Celtic basketball. Especially with who he picked up this season. These guys should have a roll going forward once JT gets back. Awesome job by Luka poking the ball away as JB grabs and gets to the line.

Sam Hauser has been on fire from deep tonight. We have a much needed timeout given the lack of intensity on defense. Joe is going to rip them a new one. I expect the intensity on D to ramp up as the team gets back on the floor. Out of the timeout Hugo hits a three, I absolutely love this kid. Cs are back to playing our brand of basketball. Joe has really learned when to use his timeouts and get the best out of his team. He's really become a very good coach, I don't like all the threes but I like Joe.

Cs find themselves in a battle with the Kings as we enter halftime. Cs open the third with a three! JB to DWhite to PP for three, love when they are unselfish. Cs basketball historically has been unselfish. Trusting your teammates has always been in Celtic DNA. The beauty of basketball is when all five guys are involved and engaged. Man do I love this game, I would have given anything to make to the NBA and Don the Green. At least I get to write about em on a regular basis.

Joe calls timeout at the Cs D stinks right now. Tonight just feels like it could go either way. Cs almost get caught on the five second out of bounds call. They were really lucky on that one. Luka with yet another excellent play this time getting the steal. He's been playing really well lately. It's truly unfortunate that no matter how well a guy like JB or when he's healthy JT play they will never get the love in the MVP race. Honestly that should motivate them to win as many chips as possible together.

Cs win! Celtic Pride!

A sorrowful farewell to Kitty's Restaurant (North Reading, MA) as a family tradition

Time to say "Goodbye" to Kitty's Restaurant - my   family's destination and tradition for six generations and more than 80 years. My memories of Kitty's go back to the early-1950's . I would accompany my dad and grandfather on fishing trips to the Ipswich River in North Reading, Massachusetts - followed by a visit to the restaurant on Main Street. In later years, my wife, Linda, and I would eat there with our two kids, Marc and Lisa - and years later - with our two grand daughters - and still later - with our great grandson, Carson. Author and family at Kitty's approx. 10 years ago Kitty's never disappointed. The drinks were big and well-made . The food was terrific - as were the portions. The service was exceptional and we became well-acquainted with the waiters and waitresses. It all worked so very well for many decades. My grand daughter, Courtney , was particularly fond of the restaurant. She was born with cystic fibrosis , and during her fr...
