North of the Border

Cs are in Toronto for a Sunday afternoon game. Cs will need to do all the little things if they want to continue playing winning basketball. The Raptors floor is a throwback to their original logo. Pretty cool logo if you ask me. Cs get on the board first as DWhite scores from the midrange. DWhite hits the first three of the game! Are we going to see a thirty piece from DWhite? That would be spectacular if we do! JB crashing the glass and we are up seven early. I like the way the Cs are playing today let's keep it up.

Cs are going to need to push this pace and keep the Raptors on their heels. Love the Cs getting extra offensive possessions leading to a DWhite three! JB with the middle and it didn't look good but still hit the bottom of the net. Cs should be up by more than ten right now. It's crazy to me some of the games we have lost this season and are yet right there in the East. I mean we could be in first overall. I will say those early growing pains will benefit us come post season. I really think we can do some damage. We have a legit top five player in Jaylen Brown and he's playing like an MVP candidate. Sam Hauser from deep! Bang! Slowly but surely his shot is finding the bottom of the cup.

I'm very impressed and pleased with the Celtics this first quarter. They are showing the Raptors that at the end of the game they will be extinct. Cs have come out here in the second and done some very good things. Love that move from Hugo getting to the cup and jamming it home! Cs are giving it their all on defense today and Joe is loving it. Queta will not allow any easy baskets. Queta on the offensive boards! Follows it up with the score, not that's a combo of Tommy points. Love watching him play the game of basketball. He has improved so damn much! You have to love that the Cs built on their lead from the first. Leading at the half by a decent margin. Honestly these Raptors don't have the offensive fire power to come back.

Great job by the Cs with six steals and six blocks in the first half. JB puts the Raptors big man on ice and nails a three in his face. JB finds PP for three! Great players get their teammates involved. Good start here in the third, timeout Toronto. Cs are allowing the Raptors back into this game. JB with a huge basket that was really needed. Cs are going to need to get their flow back on both ends. Shots just aren't falling like they were earlier. Yet the Cs must push through and go get this game. Man this quarter hasn't gone the way I expected. This is unacceptable and the lead is only seven.

Well this sucks as our lead is only one, what is going on?!? This will be brutal if the Cs can't find themselves and pull out this victory. Queta with some big plays on the glass. Fighting for the offensive board. DWhite with the huge three! DWhite finds PP and he nails a huge three! Queta with a huge block right there! Cs get screwed with a bad call. Absolutely horrendous these refs are terrible! Queta gets a huge rebound which eventually leads to a PP three! Huge sequence right there folks. DWhite with a BOMB! BANG! Now we are playing Celtics basketball! Cs with a big win! Celtic Pride!

A sorrowful farewell to Kitty's Restaurant (North Reading, MA) as a family tradition

Time to say "Goodbye" to Kitty's Restaurant - my   family's destination and tradition for six generations and more than 80 years. My memories of Kitty's go back to the early-1950's . I would accompany my dad and grandfather on fishing trips to the Ipswich River in North Reading, Massachusetts - followed by a visit to the restaurant on Main Street. In later years, my wife, Linda, and I would eat there with our two kids, Marc and Lisa - and years later - with our two grand daughters - and still later - with our great grandson, Carson. Author and family at Kitty's approx. 10 years ago Kitty's never disappointed. The drinks were big and well-made . The food was terrific - as were the portions. The service was exceptional and we became well-acquainted with the waiters and waitresses. It all worked so very well for many decades. My grand daughter, Courtney , was particularly fond of the restaurant. She was born with cystic fibrosis , and during her fr...
