Sunday Matinee

JT looking good in his Jordan gear on the sidelines. Cs are rocking the black uniforms today. I can't wait to watch one of my least favorite players in James Soft I mean Harden. DWhite gets us going early with the deuce. No Leonard today since he's always injured or maybe it's Mafia induced. PP for three! He's starting to finally find his stroke. Gotta love the fact he's getting his groove back! He's such a key piece to any success we are gonna have this season.

Cs are up early and let's hope they keep it rolling. Queta crashing the grass is a recipe for success. I will say this much Harden is going to eat Walsh alive. If the Cs can grab this win they will have a chance to string a few wins in a row. Love seeing Queta with the touch on that shot. He's such a lovable player given how far he's come since last season. PP is locked in right now and looks like an assassin. These Clippers look overmatched and the Cs better capitalize on it. Great job by the Cs taking it to em as they lead by fourteen.

JB doing it on both ends here blocking the shot and scoring easily on the other end. You have to be impressed with how he plays so well on both ends of the floor. Cs are having a heck of a first quarter today and you can see it in Jaff Van Gundys face on that Clipper sideline. Man that Jordan outfit JT is rocking with those gray kicks is absolute fire. Cs with a bad turnover and it costs them points. Not ideal when you are playing a team who sucks.

DWhite opens up the second with a top of the key three! Glad to see him knocking down his shots he's struggled this season. He's also shouldering a much bigger load than last season. Slowly but surely the Clippers are walking down this lead and I'm not very pleased about it. Batum goes off the glass from deep and our lead is down to three. So many ebbs and flows to an NBA game, not to mention we don't know how many guys are on the take.

Baylor just isn't the same shooter as he was last year. I believe and feel he has a lot of upside but he's just off this season. At some point he's going to break out of it and when he does expect good things from him. JB is one of the most efficient players in the NBA. Especially with how effective his midrange game is. Damn near unstoppable! Just like that Baylor heard me typing on the keys and nails a three! Followed up JB getting to the hole and scoring the layup. I truly know how to motivate our guys towards greatness with my eloquent words...

Cs have pushed the lead up to eighteen! With about three minutes to go we need to the Cs to finish strong. Ends of quarters are where games can be won and lost. Cs better lock in and bring it home before the half. Some how yet again the Clippers are walking down a lead. Which makes this game much more manageable for them. PP scores at the cup and that was much needed. Queta with a tip in and we are able to finish the half with a fourteen point lead.

Queta is like a pogo stick out there causing havoc for the Clippers down low. PP continues he's hot shooting by nailing his first three off the second half. He comes off the screen and rattles another on in. I feel he's gonna put up thirty in this one lol. Cs have pushed the lead to twenty two and the Clippers need a timeout. They really aren't a very good team. There are a lot of crap teams this season. Cs have a chance to be a very competitive team this year.

Love seeing Queta send Hardens weak shot back where it belongs. But... there was a foul on Walsh. What a shock, not really Harden has been getting calls his entire career. Personally I despise his game. You couldn't pay me to watch him play. There are a few guys over the years I wish were never NBA players. DWhite abuses Collins and scores off glass. Derrick is and will always be one of my favorite players. Everything about his game screams Celtics. He epitomizes what it means to wear green and white, or in this case black and green.

Cs currently hold onto a twenty one point lead and PP with another three! It's up to twenty four! Is it me or is Sam Hauser not himself this season? I truly feel the loss of JT has played such a huge role in all of these guys struggling. Yet I believe they will find their footing and be successful. This season will be a grind, but at the end of the day they will be stronger for it. Iron sharpens iron and let's be real the East isn't that tough this season.

Cs have hit a bit of a lull and really need a basket here. The Clippers have once again made a dent in this lead. Timeout by the Cs and let's hope they can regroup here. Luka nails a three and we have some more breathing room. Yet these Clippers won't go away folks. Crazy stat they have nineteen free throws and we have four... and it's only the third. JB is killing it today, how lucky are we as Celtics fans to see him play. His number 7 should hang from the rafters someday.

We have entered the fourth and our lead is only down to five. So much for a run away win Celtics fans. We need to start attacking the cup, rebounding better and playing better defense. It's pretty simple when you see it but the work needs to be done. DWhite forces the charge and we are going the other way. JB for three! Bang! Huge shot! I'm feeling more and more like this game is going down to the wire. Garza is a beast on the glass! He's fouled out of the game and that's a bummer.

Cs with an eight point lead with about eight minutes to go. Cs just aren't hitting their shots but DWhite with another block! Queta gets the bucket with a chance for the And One. The lead is ten with five minutes to go. I really need to see the Cs finish this game up and bring it home. We have witnessed so many losses in these close games. Actually if we cleaned things up we would have a damn good record. Yet we can't cry over spilled milk. Queta has been a monster in the paint today. I love this kid! The Pride of Portugal!

We are about two minutes away from grabbing this victory. But I won't be comfortable until the clock reads zero. DWhite with a big three! Celtics with a much needed victory and we are on to the Nets on Tuesday. Celtic Pride!

A sorrowful farewell to Kitty's Restaurant (North Reading, MA) as a family tradition

Time to say "Goodbye" to Kitty's Restaurant - my   family's destination and tradition for six generations and more than 80 years. My memories of Kitty's go back to the early-1950's . I would accompany my dad and grandfather on fishing trips to the Ipswich River in North Reading, Massachusetts - followed by a visit to the restaurant on Main Street. In later years, my wife, Linda, and I would eat there with our two kids, Marc and Lisa - and years later - with our two grand daughters - and still later - with our great grandson, Carson. Author and family at Kitty's approx. 10 years ago Kitty's never disappointed. The drinks were big and well-made . The food was terrific - as were the portions. The service was exceptional and we became well-acquainted with the waiters and waitresses. It all worked so very well for many decades. My grand daughter, Courtney , was particularly fond of the restaurant. She was born with cystic fibrosis , and during her fr...
