Sunday Hoops

Cs with 80 points in the first half was pretty impressive. The defense has led to a quicker pace in play. I can't believe we lost to the Nets, yet are killing the Magic. The NBA is wild on a nightly basis. Minott has some shifty moves and it gets him plenty of opportunities to score. Orlando is missing players and on a back to back, so it makes sense why we are rolling. JB has lost a contact on that foul. Pretty crazy that his contact fell out on that foul.

Kudos to the Patriots for winning in Cincinnati today. What a season to this point for a team on the rise. DWhite with eleven points so far. Nice to see him involved and doing Derrick White type things. What a block by DW right there! That was awesome to see! DWhite with another block! He's a defensive dynamo! Putting on a master class of how to block shots. Josh  Minott continues to impress tonight, especially with his spacing.

Cs next game will be here at home vs the Pistons. Pistons have been playing really good basketball lately. They will be out to send a message to the Cs especially given its a cup game. Nice to see Boucher get some run tonight, I like what he offers out there. JB gets to the hoop so effortlessly. It's an art to watch him get to the cup. PP is having quite the game for himself tonight. He's finally coming into his own lately. Back to the guy we know he can be on the floor.

Cs are going to be an up and down team all year. Games they should win they lose and it's just how inconsistent teams are. This team does do some very good things out there but also have moments that infuriate you. Sam has looked really good tonight, and knocking down his shots with confidence. Nice to see him doing what he does best. Simons quickness has really impressed me this season. He has a quick trigger, it makes it very difficult for defenders. Cs are rolling in this game and making the Magic disappear.

Cs have come out and kicked the Magic from one end to the other. It's nice when they win like this I just wish they were more consistent. This could be a much different team if we learn to close games and beat crap teams. I know you can't look back to the past but so many winnable games this season. I'm torn as to if we are a playoff team or just a 500 club. Time will tell but we win tonight and set our sights on Wednesday. It's crazy to me but the Magic made some hay and almost pulled off a.comeback. Celtic Pride!

A sorrowful farewell to Kitty's Restaurant (North Reading, MA) as a family tradition

Time to say "Goodbye" to Kitty's Restaurant - my   family's destination and tradition for six generations and more than 80 years. My memories of Kitty's go back to the early-1950's . I would accompany my dad and grandfather on fishing trips to the Ipswich River in North Reading, Massachusetts - followed by a visit to the restaurant on Main Street. In later years, my wife, Linda, and I would eat there with our two kids, Marc and Lisa - and years later - with our two grand daughters - and still later - with our great grandson, Carson. Author and family at Kitty's approx. 10 years ago Kitty's never disappointed. The drinks were big and well-made . The food was terrific - as were the portions. The service was exceptional and we became well-acquainted with the waiters and waitresses. It all worked so very well for many decades. My grand daughter, Courtney , was particularly fond of the restaurant. She was born with cystic fibrosis , and during her fr...
