Smooth Jazz in the Garden

Queta opens up the scoring as he gets an easy bucket. DWhite nails a three and we are off and running! JB and PP both hit their first shots and tonight feels like a winner already. Queta is gobbling up all the boards early on and I love it. He's improved so much from last season. He's only going to get better and better. We have a timeout as the Cs are rolling. Not sure what the plan is in Utah but they suck. I love how Garza gets into the fray and keeps the ball alive. Simons is playing some aggressive defense and that's what we need from him. Cs have just about lost the lead they built. On to the second quarter we go.

So far the second quarter has been underwhelming and I need the Cs to wake up. Simons scores and hopefully that's the start of plenty more. JB follows suit and scores, need him to dominate tonight. Simons lines one up and nails the three! Bang! Simons again BANG! This kid is a walking bucket when he's on. Cs are on a nice run after relinquishing the lead. I would love to see the Celtics lock in defensively and run off about 15 points in a row. How about Minott getting up there and bringing it home! Excellent block by DWhite I absolutely love watching him play basketball. Cs with a decent lead at the half but it should be more.

PP with the excellent pass finding Queta in the post. PP is so shifty and knows how to find guys. I love PP and what he brings to the Celtics. He's the consumate Celtic in my opinion. There are guys who just fit the uniform they wear and PP is that guy. This Jazz team won't give up tonight. Every time the Cs have a lead they keep chipping away. Cs are going to have to play a full forty eight minutes if they want to pull this out. Hugo is nasty folks, for only being 19 he looks very seasoned. Like a nice dry rub on a steak right before it hits the grill! The lead is only four and we need to get it going. The Celtics have totally fallen apart and are now down five. Joe calls a timeout and it's do or die time.

Cs answer Joe's timeout with a nice little run to tie this game. JB is on his own 5-0 run. Bout time JB takes over this damn game. Huge And One from Simons. Cs are falling apart and just might lose this one tonight. This is honestly disappointing and disgusting right now. This will be an unacceptable loss from my standpoint. Thanks to JB and a big three by DWhite we are all tied up with just a little over a minute to go. Cs lose and I'm furious.

A sorrowful farewell to Kitty's Restaurant (North Reading, MA) as a family tradition

Time to say "Goodbye" to Kitty's Restaurant - my   family's destination and tradition for six generations and more than 80 years. My memories of Kitty's go back to the early-1950's . I would accompany my dad and grandfather on fishing trips to the Ipswich River in North Reading, Massachusetts - followed by a visit to the restaurant on Main Street. In later years, my wife, Linda, and I would eat there with our two kids, Marc and Lisa - and years later - with our two grand daughters - and still later - with our great grandson, Carson. Author and family at Kitty's approx. 10 years ago Kitty's never disappointed. The drinks were big and well-made . The food was terrific - as were the portions. The service was exceptional and we became well-acquainted with the waiters and waitresses. It all worked so very well for many decades. My grand daughter, Courtney , was particularly fond of the restaurant. She was born with cystic fibrosis , and during her fr...
