Pistons in the Garden

Cs played some decent basketball in that first half. Despite such poor shooting, and the Pistons being on a 13 game winning streak. Baylor played very well and his shot looked even better. These Pistons are a very tough team with good skill players. Cade Cunningham is a legit MVP candidate. Duren is only 22 and already one heck of a player. Cs will need to shoot a lot better this half if they want to pull off this upset.

Cs have grabbed a six point lead here, let's see if they can make it last. JB is up to 21 points and continues to shoulder the load this season. Cade is up to 22 and isn't gonna stop there. DWhite is starting to simmer a bit and get his shot going. We really need him to find his form from last season. He has been excellent for the Cs since he was traded here. If he gets it in gear the Cs will be a team to worry about playing. He's an all star level player and can take over a game at will.

JB with the pull up three, and the Cs are looking poised to spring an upset. Cs will take a three point lead into the fourth. Do they have enough left to finish it off?! We will find out after the break. If Derrick White can build on his shooting from the third into the fourth we may pull this off. Cs need to start grabbing these boards. Sam Hauser with a pure three that was just beautiful! Simons for three! The Cs are up by seven. Will the Pistons answer? We shall find out.

Hugo is getting dirty in the paint and I'm all for it! We have a timeout on the floor as the game gets tighter. Who is going to make the winning plays down the stretch... Will it be the Pistons who are on a nice win streak? Or will it be our Celtics who have a pedigree in winning? We shall see as we come back from the break in action. JB gets hacked and there was no call at all. We are all squared away at 97 and just about five minutes to go. Detriot draws first blood and grabs the lead. DWhite answers with a three and we have the lead.

We are trading buckets as this game gets better and better. DWhite for three! We gave grabbed a four point lead. The lead is trimmed down and Duren can tie it up at the line. Here we are all tied up with under two minutes to go. JB to the cup! Challenges Duren and scores with a shot to get the And One! Cs by three... Pistons to the line and the lead is now one. DWhite for three! He's hotter than fish grease! Pistons answer with a three. Now the Pistons have the ball with a chance to win the game. Derrick White forces Cunningham into the turnover! Huge play! Derrick White is going to the line with a chance to put us up three. And... he nails em with ice in his veins. This game has been pretty intense. Cunningham to the line to tie this game with three free throws. If he hits them all Cs will get the ball with a chance to win this game. Cunningham misses the last free throw that would have tied the game. Cs hit their free throws and that's a wrap. What a win! Celtic Pride!

A sorrowful farewell to Kitty's Restaurant (North Reading, MA) as a family tradition

Time to say "Goodbye" to Kitty's Restaurant - my   family's destination and tradition for six generations and more than 80 years. My memories of Kitty's go back to the early-1950's . I would accompany my dad and grandfather on fishing trips to the Ipswich River in North Reading, Massachusetts - followed by a visit to the restaurant on Main Street. In later years, my wife, Linda, and I would eat there with our two kids, Marc and Lisa - and years later - with our two grand daughters - and still later - with our great grandson, Carson. Author and family at Kitty's approx. 10 years ago Kitty's never disappointed. The drinks were big and well-made . The food was terrific - as were the portions. The service was exceptional and we became well-acquainted with the waiters and waitresses. It all worked so very well for many decades. My grand daughter, Courtney , was particularly fond of the restaurant. She was born with cystic fibrosis , and during her fr...
