Must win nothing else matters

Celtics enter tonight after losing to the lowly Jazz, if they lose to the Wizards we are in severe trouble. This Wizards team is on a five game losing streak. Cs must defend and rebound if they want to get this win. I really hope we don't see the Celtics shoot and miss so many threes. Basketball can be a beautiful sport, but when you jack up so many threes it becomes very boring. We have finally made it to tip off, I'm hoping for a wire to wire win.

Cs run a nice set seeing DWhite finding Queta on the pick and roll for the JAM! We have a quick substitution as Simons enters for PP. Cs trail by three early on and that's concerning for me. JB is going to have to lead this team to victory. JB drives and gets fouled and no whistle whatsoever. We have reached our first timeout as the Celtics trail by four. I tell you this much if the Celtics lose tonight heads should roll. Everyone from top to bottom should be questioned for their play and coaching. Heck throw it on ownership too! Cs are being out played in every area right now.

JB scores pretty easily and has eight early points. Just as I'm typing he scores his tenth point. You can't fault JB for this team underperforming. He needs his teammates to step up and start balling. Derrick White just can't buy a basket lately. I love him but man he's cold as ice this season. I know he will break out of this slump but we need it sooner rather than later. This just isn't a good basketball team right now. Yet again our three point shooting sucks! This team as we speak is unwatchable, they better wake up.

Cs have a lot of work to do in this second quarter. Great block by DWhite! PP with the three! The lead is down to four, we finally look like a decent basketball team. A couple more stops would be really nice at this point. DWhite with the three and we are climbing our way back. Cs are only down one and have a shot to grab the lead. PP to Queta for the JAM! Cs are on a nice run and PP has the crowd going. Cs need to sustain this run and go into half with the lead. This second quarter has shown there is good basketball left in this team.

Cs played some good basketball to close out the second. I hope we see more quality play in the third and fourth quarters. Cs open up the second half with a bucket! Great alley oop to Minott! Cs lead by fifteen and things are looking good. That pass from DWhite to Minott was beautiful. Cs make a bad pass but make up for it with the block. But... they called a foul. The Celtics offense has been pretty efficient so far. JB hits a three and he continues to have a good game.

Cs are killing it when it comes to points off of turnovers. The lead is up to 21 and we are finally beating a team we should be. Overall I'm happy with what I saw tonight. Hopefully we can build on this and win the next one. Great game from JB and it was nice to see everyone contribute. We had multiple players in double figures, Minott, Brown, PP, DWhite, Simons and Queta. Now that's how you win. Get everyone involved and allow them to flourish.

A sorrowful farewell to Kitty's Restaurant (North Reading, MA) as a family tradition

Time to say "Goodbye" to Kitty's Restaurant - my   family's destination and tradition for six generations and more than 80 years. My memories of Kitty's go back to the early-1950's . I would accompany my dad and grandfather on fishing trips to the Ipswich River in North Reading, Massachusetts - followed by a visit to the restaurant on Main Street. In later years, my wife, Linda, and I would eat there with our two kids, Marc and Lisa - and years later - with our two grand daughters - and still later - with our great grandson, Carson. Author and family at Kitty's approx. 10 years ago Kitty's never disappointed. The drinks were big and well-made . The food was terrific - as were the portions. The service was exceptional and we became well-acquainted with the waiters and waitresses. It all worked so very well for many decades. My grand daughter, Courtney , was particularly fond of the restaurant. She was born with cystic fibrosis , and during her fr...
