Cs in Disney Part 2

We are in Disney for one more night, will the Cs get it going? The question is do they have anything in store for the Magic. I just want to see a team that plays hard defense and crashes the glass. Cs are trending in the wrong direction, it's going to take a full 48 minutes to get this win. If not this season will continue to drag along. JT is on the bench and here to support his teammates. This isn't a cup game so I'm a bit more invested.

Cs are in their standard white jerseys with the green numbers and letters. Cs commit a bad foul right of the jump. Cs first offensive set is a turnover. That's not a good sign for the good guys. All of a sudden it's eight quick points for the Magic. DWhite gets the three and we are on the board. JB is really perfecting that midrange step back. Cs with an early timeout as they are trailing early on. The Celtics are running in mud and not competing right now. Unacceptable play right now.

Right now our Cs have finally woken up and are playing much better basketball. Finally making the right basketball plays and doing what we all love as fans. Breaking news we have learned that Coach Lenny Wilkens has passed away at the age of 88. A Hall of Fame player and a Hall of Fame coach. Memory Eternal to one of the greats. Anfernee Simons has ten points already and has given us a much needed spark. The kid is cooking like a homemade pasta sauce on the stove. Simons has 20 points in about 8 minutes and the Cs are up by six. Simons with the step back three! Dude is en feugo! Simons with fourteen straight points is nasty.

Queta out here earning plenty of Tommy points! Hugo with some awesome D forcing the Magic into a travel. Awesome job by the rook! Cs have about six minutes to sustain or add to this lead. Great play by Minott hitting it off of Banceros leg. Huge play the Magic were on the fastbreak. The Magic have punched back and are right there. JB with the stutter and drive to the cup for two. That was huge, even though it's only the second quarter. Cs just need to close this quarter the right way. Nice to see Derrick Whites parents at the game.

We enter the third with a shot at winning this one but can we?! Playing in Orlando hasn't been kind to us over the past five games. Cs and Magic trading blows early on. I do feel we have a big run in us here in the third. DWHITE with a HUGE steal that leads to a PPrith three! Cash money! Take it to the bank! These refs bite! JB gets fouled hard and no call. Wagner falls and it's a whistle. What a freaking joke. Cs need to learn to crash the glass or just freaking box out. It's the little things that make you a good or mediocre team.

A win tonight could go a long way, while a loss just piles on to this long season. Cs need better execution on their offensive sets. JB jacking up a three as the shot clock expires is not good basketball. We really need a few stops on defense. JB on the break decelerates and scores off the glass. It's amazing what these guys can do athletically. We are heading towards the end of the quarter where games can be won or lost. Luka Garza with the huge offensive board and scores. After the tv timeout he's going to the line for the And One. Cs score despite being a mess on that set.

I think we will be going down to the wire tonight. We head to the fourth within striking distance. Coach Joe is rocking some sweet kicks tonight. Cs trail in points from the paint department. Cs are killing it with points off the bench though. What a pass from Hugo to Qeuta! That was pretty! Cs are right where they need to be but they need to make some plays. PPritch to Queta for the alley oop! DWhite to Hugo for a Hugo Huge three! We have a timeout on the floor as the Cs grab a lead.

These Magic uniforms look pretty good, especially since those Shaq lead teams used to wear em. Those teams were nice, Penny, Shaq, Scott, Anderson and Grant. DWhite to Garza for the deuce! Cs are a nice run and looking to add to it. Garza with another HUGE offensive rebound and he scores! Time for another shot at the And One for Luka. Cs up nine with the rock, let's see what we can do. Who needs laker Luka when we have Luka Garza! He's got my vote for Luka of the year! We must finish this game doing what got us here. Hard work on the boards and defensively.

We have about five minutes to secure our first victory in a while. We will see the 76ers on Tuesday vs Embid and his brittle knees. JB with a big time jumper over Carter. That basket was so needed. We really need a few stops as the game gets tighter. What a royally horrendous call on Simons. He barely hits the guy with his shoulder and Suggs flopped like a dead fish. NBA refs are the absolute worst. Garza with the tip in of the season! That would have gotten Tommy Heinsohn to go crazy if he were still with us. JB draws the foul and will head to the line. JB for three! Cs must execute on this next set. DWhite hits the HUGE THREE! We are so very close to the win here. Cs win! Walsh with the big three finishes it. CELTIC PRIDE!

A sorrowful farewell to Kitty's Restaurant (North Reading, MA) as a family tradition

Time to say "Goodbye" to Kitty's Restaurant - my   family's destination and tradition for six generations and more than 80 years. My memories of Kitty's go back to the early-1950's . I would accompany my dad and grandfather on fishing trips to the Ipswich River in North Reading, Massachusetts - followed by a visit to the restaurant on Main Street. In later years, my wife, Linda, and I would eat there with our two kids, Marc and Lisa - and years later - with our two grand daughters - and still later - with our great grandson, Carson. Author and family at Kitty's approx. 10 years ago Kitty's never disappointed. The drinks were big and well-made . The food was terrific - as were the portions. The service was exceptional and we became well-acquainted with the waiters and waitresses. It all worked so very well for many decades. My grand daughter, Courtney , was particularly fond of the restaurant. She was born with cystic fibrosis , and during her fr...
