Basketball in Brooklyn

Cs in Brooklyn looking to build on two wins in a row. Cs see the Nets strike first tonight. JB with back to back midrange jumpers. Cs get called for a terrible offensive foul. These refs suck and we just started the game. Which means they can only get worse as the game progresses. Cs can't lose to this Nets team tonight. It was bad enough losing to Utah. Cs haven't found any rhythm on offense right now. Cs are down by six early and I'm disgusted.

Joe has called a timeout and now we need to come out firing. I'd really like to see the Celtics move the ball and attack the paint. They definitely need to tighten things up defensively. Queta finally gets us a bucket to cut into this lead. JB finds PP for three! I don't like what I'm seeing tonight. You can't allow garbage teams to beat you. Cs better go on a run and grab the lead. Timeout by Joe as the Cs trail by ten. They should be ashamed of themselves.

PP for three off the timeout. Simons gets fouled on a three. He can cut this lead to four points. PP from deep! He's starting to get hot tonight. Cs need to learn how to grab defensive rebounds. Sam finally knocks down a three and hopefully it gets him going. Cs need to lock in defensively right now! PP finds Queta for the dunk and the game is tied. We enter the second all tied up, Cs couldn't have played worse from my perspective. With that said they can right the ship and go on a nice run here in the second.

Time for the Cs to get JB going, they also need to push this pace and run! Way too many turnovers tonight. Baylor finds Minott for the corner three! We have a lead! Cs are doing a decent job on the boards now. Nice play by Qeuta freeing Baylor to get the three. Queta gets better every game we see him. He's going to be a huge piece for this team in the future. Cs are a few plays away from blowing this game open. It's disgusting how many turnovers we have tonight. Cs are going to need up finish this quarter on a run.

Cs have looked pretty decent this second half. I truly feel that they should have won by more. I know it's the NBA and each game is its on entity. My standards as a Celtics Fan and guy who watched Michael Jordan expect greatness. Especially when you play a team that is definitely tanking and looking for get a top pick or trade for a stud. Payton looked really good tonight as did Derrick White. Jaylen Brown stepped up immensely to help seal this victory. Despite having such a different roster this season we have guys who can truly play this game. Cs are above 500 for the first time all season. Yes I know they have beaten garbage teams in the Grizz, Clips, and Nets. Yet you can only beat who is in front of you. Stay strong Cs Fans! Celtic Pride!

A sorrowful farewell to Kitty's Restaurant (North Reading, MA) as a family tradition

Time to say "Goodbye" to Kitty's Restaurant - my   family's destination and tradition for six generations and more than 80 years. My memories of Kitty's go back to the early-1950's . I would accompany my dad and grandfather on fishing trips to the Ipswich River in North Reading, Massachusetts - followed by a visit to the restaurant on Main Street. In later years, my wife, Linda, and I would eat there with our two kids, Marc and Lisa - and years later - with our two grand daughters - and still later - with our great grandson, Carson. Author and family at Kitty's approx. 10 years ago Kitty's never disappointed. The drinks were big and well-made . The food was terrific - as were the portions. The service was exceptional and we became well-acquainted with the waiters and waitresses. It all worked so very well for many decades. My grand daughter, Courtney , was particularly fond of the restaurant. She was born with cystic fibrosis , and during her fr...
