Back Home In Boston

Tonight the Celtics welcome the Rockets to the Garden. We all remember the history these two teams have. Meeting in the 81 and 86 Finals both resulting in Banners! Those two series had some incredible talent on both ends. This version of the Rockets has high hopes given their new star in Kevin Durant. A guy who has been good everywhere he's been. What's crazy is the amount of teams he's been on. In all reality he could have been drafted here if not for those damn ping pong balls. Let's also not forget when he almost signed here after talking to Tom Brady.

KD opens the game with a mid range jumper, C's miss on their first set. DWhite gets to the rack and gets us on the board. His three point shooting hasn't been very efficient but inside of that he's been good. Cs are going to need to get on the boards tonight. If they don't it's going to be a long night. Not to pleased with some of these defensive sets. What a move by JB getting to the cup and scoring. That should have been an And One. Unfortunately NBA refs suck! DWhite gets a three and hopefully that gets him going from deep. I'm not advocating for the three ball, but we know it's part of his game.

PP needs to get going on offense, or it's his be tough to win. PP with a huge steal early on, if not this Rockets lead would definitely be more. JB is starting to cook ladies and gents. He's going to need to be superman tonight. JB finds Hugo in the corner and he drains the three. Hugo has a lot of grit, and is solid on most fronts as a young player. Cs need to learn when to pass up threes and get to the cup. Cs D is lackluster to this point. Cs are down seven as the first lingers on. Cs D and O are a no go right now. Cs trail after the first.

Cs at not looking good at all. They might get rolled tonight. Baylor gets a three, maybe that's the spark we need. I really don't want to slog through a game where we aren't competitive. Wake up guys, show us why you have won three in a row. Where is Payton Pritchard been tonight? I need him to find that sixth man of the year Magic. Queta continues to show his growth each and every game. I love this kid! He's the Pride of Portugal for a reason. Cs are showing some life right now. Maybe we can make a run?! What an INCREDIBLE REBOUND FOR MINOTT! An athletic rebound and score for that young man. Let's Go! And... we are down twenty.

Unfortunately and fortunately I fell asleep during the second half. The Celtics looked gassed and had nothing to offer us last night. The Rockets had 2 days rest and blew the doors off us. On to the next... see ya Monday for some Jazz.

A sorrowful farewell to Kitty's Restaurant (North Reading, MA) as a family tradition

Time to say "Goodbye" to Kitty's Restaurant - my   family's destination and tradition for six generations and more than 80 years. My memories of Kitty's go back to the early-1950's . I would accompany my dad and grandfather on fishing trips to the Ipswich River in North Reading, Massachusetts - followed by a visit to the restaurant on Main Street. In later years, my wife, Linda, and I would eat there with our two kids, Marc and Lisa - and years later - with our two grand daughters - and still later - with our great grandson, Carson. Author and family at Kitty's approx. 10 years ago Kitty's never disappointed. The drinks were big and well-made . The food was terrific - as were the portions. The service was exceptional and we became well-acquainted with the waiters and waitresses. It all worked so very well for many decades. My grand daughter, Courtney , was particularly fond of the restaurant. She was born with cystic fibrosis , and during her fr...
