Final Pre Season Game

Tonight is the final tune up before we open up with the Philadelphia 76ers. We have the double big line up of Queta and Boucher. I like it! Queta sets a perfect screen and DWhite nails the three. I have visions of future All Star Derrick White coming off screens and swishing threes. Every night Celtics fans book it! I really can't believe how thin Boucher is. JB is playing elite D and picks the Raptors players pocket. Expect JB to make the All defensive team in my humble opinion. JB showing off right now using his footwork and nailing the three!

Expect a huge leap from Queta this season. So far tonight he has a steal and a few buckets in the post. We all know the young man can rebound rather well and block shots regularly. C DWhite with a heck of a sequence just now with the corner three and drawing the charge. Cs bring in Simons, Garza and Minott. Garza is built like a lean linebacker. I like the nice little shot he just put in. Hugo enters the game and makes a sweet move and scores. Cs have played 11 guys so far showing off their depth.

I love the fact that Joe has his Cross on his Celtics gear. I'll say this Simons isn't afraid to shoot the rock! That's the kind of confidence you need coming off the bench. Minott hits the three from the corner! If he perfects that watch out. I love seeing what sneaks guys are wearing. Cs use excellent ball movement and score effortlessly. Great bounce pass from Queta leading Minott to the JAM! I know this is preseason and it's the Raptors but I like our guys.

Question for our readers... do you think Simons is here for a few years or is he a piece to trade? It will be interesting to see given how cheap new ownership is. JB has some tightness in his hamstring and isn't returning tonight. Save him for the opener, that's what matters. Cs have floundered away their lead but I'm not sweating it. Overall I've been pleased with what I've seen tonight. Cs fans give this team a chance and allow them into your hearts. I expect them to make us very proud.

DWhite led the Cs with 33 points 9 rebounds and 4 blocks. Is there anything Derrick White can't do??? I mean I freaking love watching him play basketball. I could watch him all day! Back to the game it was nip and tuck all the way to the end. There's a song that says X gonna give it to ya! Which is what Xavier Tillman did scoring the game winning basket. I expect X to have a very productive season for us.

CELTIC PRIDE! See you on opening night...

A sorrowful farewell to Kitty's Restaurant (North Reading, MA) as a family tradition

Time to say "Goodbye" to Kitty's Restaurant - my   family's destination and tradition for six generations and more than 80 years. My memories of Kitty's go back to the early-1950's . I would accompany my dad and grandfather on fishing trips to the Ipswich River in North Reading, Massachusetts - followed by a visit to the restaurant on Main Street. In later years, my wife, Linda, and I would eat there with our two kids, Marc and Lisa - and years later - with our two grand daughters - and still later - with our great grandson, Carson. Author and family at Kitty's approx. 10 years ago Kitty's never disappointed. The drinks were big and well-made . The food was terrific - as were the portions. The service was exceptional and we became well-acquainted with the waiters and waitresses. It all worked so very well for many decades. My grand daughter, Courtney , was particularly fond of the restaurant. She was born with cystic fibrosis , and during her fr...
