Celtics Pre Season Game 1

While only playing in the first half JB managed to score 21 points. This season he's going to probably put up a career average in points per game since JT is injured. What we need him to do is take a step forward and be a facilitator as well. We all know he can rebound and play some epic D. I think with him at the helm we may see a tough brand of basketball. In regards to stats DWhite was his all around self scoring 16 and adding 3 rebounds and 10 assists. Newcomer Chris Boucher added 11 and 4. I like what be brings to the team. Baylor had 13 and another newbie Garza had 10. In regards to new players I want to see where Simon's fits in.

What I saw last night are guys who will bang and give effort. Hugo showed me he has heart and if he plays like that Celtics fans will love him. I really feel that there is some ability on this team to be competitive. Expect a guy like Queta to take that next step as well as X. Both will need to be in the post and show they can hold their own. Sprinkle in Garza and Boucher and I think good things will happen. In the backcourt PP and Sam should be assasins from deep. They will become even better than last year given how each has progressed each year. Derrick White is going to be an All Star this season. He has every tool needed to score over 30 points per game. We will need him to be at his best for a chance at the playoffs.

With that said I can't wait to see how Joe develops given a very different roster with new pieces. I still can't believe that our championship window went from where we were last year to this. I wish Al, KP, and Jrue all the best of luck. I will never forget you guys bringing us Banner 18. If I'm the Celtics and JT I'm not rushing back. I love the fact the kid wants to get back on the floor but please make sure it's when your body is good and ready. I know that injury isn't ideal or any injury for that matter. Yet Kobe and MJ both had injuries and came back better than ever.

I will write as I always do with heart and love for my Celtics. But... Mr Chisolm you have a lot to prove. If I were you I'd have kept the team together and strive for a title. Yet you cheaped out and made Brad trade away guys to get under that dumb tax. Next time don't buy the team. With that said... Celtic Pride!

A sorrowful farewell to Kitty's Restaurant (North Reading, MA) as a family tradition

Time to say "Goodbye" to Kitty's Restaurant - my   family's destination and tradition for six generations and more than 80 years. My memories of Kitty's go back to the early-1950's . I would accompany my dad and grandfather on fishing trips to the Ipswich River in North Reading, Massachusetts - followed by a visit to the restaurant on Main Street. In later years, my wife, Linda, and I would eat there with our two kids, Marc and Lisa - and years later - with our two grand daughters - and still later - with our great grandson, Carson. Author and family at Kitty's approx. 10 years ago Kitty's never disappointed. The drinks were big and well-made . The food was terrific - as were the portions. The service was exceptional and we became well-acquainted with the waiters and waitresses. It all worked so very well for many decades. My grand daughter, Courtney , was particularly fond of the restaurant. She was born with cystic fibrosis , and during her fr...
