This is not new news. I have been involved in fitness as a Weight Management Consultant and Personal Trainer for 33 years, and have measured clients for weight and body fat for my entire career. And I was alarmed to find that the average man or woman stepping onto the scale and undergoing body fat testing was in the "OBESE: catagory, meaning above 25 % body fat for men and greater than 32% for woman. Now this from Laura Dorwart of verywellhealth.com_
Hard to believe, right? But it's true, although quite disturbing. Growing up in the 40's and 50's, I recall very few very fat individuals. Now? They are everywhere.
Blame whoever or whatever you wish for this dangerous epidemic, but understand your fitness is one of the very few things over which you have complete control.
And if you are truly obese, that high-fat body never leaves you. It goes where you go. So what do you do?
I have worked with roughly 2,000 clients, one-on-one, in small groups - and in larger settings. I have learned much. Most of your fat loss will come from changes in your eating and drinking, but don't do it alone. Find a support system so that you are accountable - not only to yourself, but to others as well.
Don't be taken in by gyms, health clubs and "fitness professionals". A bad personal trainer can be worse than none at all, and the "bottom line" of athletic clubs is to make money - not to make you fitter.
If your kids act up, they will be gone eventually. If your car is a shitbox, you may only have to drive it to-and-from work. But a bad body is with you 24/7. If you are overfat, don't stay that way forever. It isn't good for your health or your psyche. You can control it. Give it a shot.
I was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) four years ago. For over two years, I relied on prescribed medications and treatments, but unfortunately, my symptoms continued to worsen. My breathing became more laboured, I experienced frequent coughing fits, and my energy levels started to decline rapidly. Last year, feeling desperate but hopeful, I decided to try an herbal treatment program from NaturePath Herbal Clinic. Honestly, I was skeptical at first, but within a few months of starting the treatment, I began to notice real improvements. My breathing became easier, the coughing subsided, and, incredibly, my energy returned. It’s been a life-changing experience. I feel more like myself again better than I’ve felt in years. If you or a loved one is struggling with IPF, I highly recommend looking into their natural approach. You can visit their website at www.naturepathherbalclinic.com
