Hey! Why not? The loss of Jayson Tatum, Kristaps Porzingis, Jrue Holiday and Luke Kornet means Joe Mazzulla has to find 63 points (per game), 25 rebounds and 12 assists somewhere.
So why not acquire Ben Simmons if his price is right for Boston's cost-cutting financial situation. He won't be 30 years old for another year, and he has averaged 13 points, seven rebounds and seven assists per game for his career.
Ben is not a shooter, even from the foul line. But he does almost everything else well, including defense. Wikipedia lists him as a point guard/power forward. He is versatile.
No, he won't be chucking up 3-pointers, but his ball handling, passing skills and transition offense will create scoring opportunities for others. Mazzulla just may be relying on his troops to force turnovers via tough defense, and it just happens that Simmons has a career average of 1.5 steals per game.
Ben Simmons badly needs a redemptive season, and he has some skills that can hopefully start to fill the void left by Tatum particularly. Jayson led his team in (per game) points, rebounds and assists last season. Tough shoes to (partially) fill. And frankly, if /the upcoming season goes south, a /high draft pick wouldn't hurt the Celtics down the road.
I was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) four years ago. For over two years, I relied on prescribed medications and treatments, but unfortunately, my symptoms continued to worsen. My breathing became more laboured, I experienced frequent coughing fits, and my energy levels started to decline rapidly. Last year, feeling desperate but hopeful, I decided to try an herbal treatment program from NaturePath Herbal Clinic. Honestly, I was skeptical at first, but within a few months of starting the treatment, I began to notice real improvements. My breathing became easier, the coughing subsided, and, incredibly, my energy returned. It’s been a life-changing experience. I feel more like myself again better than I’ve felt in years. If you or a loved one is struggling with IPF, I highly recommend looking into their natural approach. You can visit their website at www.naturepathherbalclinic.com
