Wake up guys...

Celtics play a decent first quarter but still look out of rhythm. KP was not in the starting lineup and that illness is affecting him. The Cs left a lot of points out there and really need to learn to capitalize on good looks. Brown and Tatum must lead by example and stop jacking up so many threes. They have allowed the Knicks way too much life tonight. Reggie Miller has been awful in this broadcast. Why can't we get quality guys doing these games. TNT and ESPN have such terrible in game announcers and color commentators.

Cs are sluggish in this second quarter and yet again the Knicks are staying close. Cs need to start moving the ball like we saw in the regular season. It just isn't crisp enough and there is no flow whatsoever. I really hope they can find themselves and finish this second quarter off the right way. I like what I'm seeing from White tonight, he never disappoints. Jrue has been stout on D and he like White never disappoints out there. I'm still extremely disgusted and angered with Mondays loss.

Cs with some excellent rebounding and hustle leading to a JB three! JB on this next possession puts Hart in the washer and buries the jumper! Great job by JB getting into the paint tonight. Cs still haven't found themselves from deep tonight. I really wish they would just attack the paint! This Knicks team does not belong on the same floor as us! I stick by that even though we trail in this series. How about them Pacers! I knew they would cause fits for the Cavs. I can't really root for Indy because Reggie Miller is a jerk in regards to the Celtics. He has an agenda against us. Therefore I have an agenda vs the Pacers.

I can't stand Brunson at all! I find it putrid how much these announcers pump him up! He's not that good folks, he's a flopper and carries the ball every possession. Cs left a lot of points out there in the second. Actually the entire first half was filled with missed opportunities. I truly hope they get their act together in the third and go on a nice run or two. I just want to see the Celtics basketball we are accustomed to. If the damn threes aren't falling go to the freaking hoop! Basketball is simple at its core! Attack the paint and work from there. Everything else will follow nicely.

Here we go folks! These next two quarters will determine if we are who I believe we are. Great D by Al forcing the Knicks into a turnover. JT finally hits a freaking three! It just takes one folks... Cs are starting to really annoy me right now with the mistakes. Protect the damn ball and get your act together. This third needs to be a clinic in how to successfully hold a lead, while making your shots. DWhite gives up his body and draws a charge! Then he scores on the other end! Love this man! Nice to get KP on the board with five straight points! He looks better now than earlier in the game.

Cs allow the Knicks back into the game as their defense had some serious mental lapses. Wake the heck up! Time to man up and grab your first victory of the series. What a brilliant follow by KP as JT had to rush his shot. Those are winning plays right there! Way to go KP! Payton Pritchard is carrying the Cs here in the fourth. Cs have hit yet another snag and their three point shooting is starting to cost them the lead. Anemic scoring for the Celtics and its making me sick. I'm at a loss for words... goodnight Celtics fans..

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S...
