And So It Begins...

I personally can't stand the Knicks or this roster. Yet for at least four games I'll have to deal with seeing them and their blowhard fans. In all reality this Celtics team is better and deeper. Joe is a better coach than Tibs and that's a fact! I'm hoping to see the Celtics throw multiple defenders at the flopper Brunson. They used different guys in the regular season who gave him problems. I expect the Cs to expose him on defense because he's a liability. JT has owned the Knicks all freaking season. He's going to have an incredible series!

Scal just said something where I agree with him. He said the Knicks don't have enough talent to win! The reason why the Celtics will win this series is because they are stacked and ready to roll! Cs must come out and punch these Knicks in the mouth. The Knicks don't defend very well and the Cs will expose them. These New Balance commercials are really played out. Let's get some new and better content for commercials. We are seconds away from tipoff and Let's Go Celtics!

DWhite opens us up with a beautiful three from the corner! Derrick seems to be ready to go tonight. He has five points early on and I expect a ton more. What a block by DWhite the man is an awesome defensive player. I'm waiting for the Cs to throw a few haymakers. Come on guys let's go! JT with a pure three ball! JT draws the foul on Kat and is heading to the line. Cs are exposing the Knicks on D, and getting them in foul trouble. These refs are screwing the Celtics right now. Back to back non calls that could affect the game. What a BLOCK by Luuuuuuuke! Let's Go!

Cs have a slim lead as we enter the second, Cs have left some points out there. I expect this second quarter to go in the Celtics favor. Jrue Holiday gets on the board, it's nice to have him back tonight. JB on the attack is what we need on offense. Kat can't stay with him at all! Brunson flopping at his peak. I can't stand anything about his game. PP for three! Cs are slowly getting their flow going, which bodes well for a nice run. Cs offense is starting to click and defensively they are right where they want to be.

Cs need to clean up their rebounding and not allow second chance opportunities. It cost them three points, and needs to be fixed. Box out and start hitting guys in the paint. Hart sucks and needs to be knocked on his rump! Time for the Cs to light up these last few minutes of the quarter. You have to live the fight from Luke. He's played quality minutes here and is doing his job. I'd like to see JT and Derrick get back to where they were in the first. Putting the ball in the net! Great job by PP attacking Brunson who is known as Mr Flops A Lot.

Cs enter the third with a decent lead, and that's despite not playing their best basketball yet. Time to play Celtics basketball on both ends! Jrue hits a nice step back three! Cs force the shot clock violation! Defense wins championships! DWhite for three! Cs force Kat into a turnover, excellent defensive pressure being put on him. Cs D has come out to play here in the third. They are running in transition and have built this lead to twenty. Not sure how anyone believes this Knicks team has a chance at even winning one game vs us nevermind the series.

Cs have hit a snag and need to right the damn ship! Joe calls a very important timeout, and I expect a good close to the third. Cs hit some shots after the timeout but couldn't push the lead. It looks like we have lost Sam for the time being. Not ideal to be short KP and now Sam. Who will come off the bench and make an impact? Cs are cold here in the fourth. Time to wake up guys...  Jrue nails a huge shot to give the Cs back the lead. Cold shooting by the Celtics has seen the lead disappear until that shot. Cs really need a defensive stop here and a few more after this play. Come on guys finish this damn game off the right way. Cs dodge a bullet and will head into overtime. They only have themselves to blame tonight.

I'm disgusted by this awful loss. Cs will bounce back but tonight is unacceptable.

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S...
