Champ vs Champ

 🏀

We have back to back threes from both teams to start today. These two teams would be a great matchup in the Finals. So far it's a very closely contested game right now. Each team is throwing haymakers to start. C's have their double big lineup which they need vs Joker. That man is a wonder of the world the way he plays basketball. He is something to watch out there.

The Celtics when healthy are the best team in the NBA. Records don't mean diddly. I give credit to Spida after Fridays game recognizing the C's didn't have KP or Jrue. In the back of his mind he knows the Cavs have only beaten the C's when they are short handed. C's are missing some good looks early on. Not to mention their rebounding has been shoddy already this afternoon.

Great job by the C's running in transition here and scoring on back to back possessions. When they run off misses they score at will. When I look at this years Celtics team I see a team that knows they can dominate. Sometimes in that mindset they let go of the reigns. I feel that kinda happened Friday vs the Cavs. Also there plays to be made that either Jrue or KP would have made. I'm not making excuses just stating facts.

It's nice to see Queta getting minutes today. I love that young man's work ethic. We need more guys like this in the league. C's with a very effective first today. Some very costly mistakes but they have a decent lead here. C's lead after the first.

🏀🏀

Did anyone else realize DeAndre Jordan was still in the league? I like the way the ball is moving today. This second quarter has been a clinic on playing team basketball. These C's look locked in right now. I expect them to continue this onslaught as the game progresses. Al Horford is having a throwback to his days in Atlanta today.

I like the way the C's have played so far today. They have let the Nuggets back into the game here. What's was a twenty point lead is now only eleven. Which I find to be very frustrating. I hope that they pick things up and get their flow back. C's lead at the half.

Anyone else dream of the NBA growing up? I know I did, despite my lack of size and athletic ability. However I was a very smart basketball player and could predict my opponents thought process. I always thought I could be who PP is today. That short guy who could nail and three but worked his bleep off.

🏀🏀🏀

C's are off to a heck of a start here in the third! They are running, humming and gunning as we are up by twenty. This third quarter start reminds of Friday's but in a much better way. C's just seem to be miles above who the Nuggets are as a team even being short handed.

Quality game from JB today, he is the guy who brings stability to the ship. We have a very different Jayson Tatum kinda game going on today. Not his typical game but we still have a lead. Overall today feels more like a complete team game as opposed to Friday.

C's have stood their ground but these nuggets are fighting hard! It's gonna be a dog fight as we approach the fourth.

🏀🏀🏀🏀

DWhite for three! That man is money! C's are in a very similar spot today as they were on Friday night. Big lead trimmed down and the pressure is on us. I tell ya this JB has become so good at passing the rock. This game is an insight into what a Finals match will be between these two teams. C's make all the clutch plays to secure the W!

Bleed Green! Celtic Pride! Bleed Green!

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S...

Did the Celtics Kevin McHale really have a wingspan of 8-feet?
