Oh Canada!

☘️

C's have their stud five starting tonight. Keys tonight will be defense and shot selection. C's are wearing those ugly city edition uniforms. JB is going to dominate Mitchell tonight. Not a great start for the C's tonight. Very flat right now.

Love seeing Jrue drive to the cup. He should be able to get there all game. No one on Toronto can guard him. Joe calls an early timeout as tonight's game sucks. What's with these slow starts lately? I don't like this trend going on. Hopefully after that timeout Joe was up in their face looking for better defensive effort.

What a pass from KP to JB for the JAM! Two quality offensive possessions off the timeout. KP for three! I like how KP is getting involved early tonight. KP is on fire right now! Cs are actually playing basketball with some effort! It's something to be said when you have a good Coach. C's were flat and Joe calls the timeout, boom back to playing like champs.

PP pushing the pace right now and he draws the foul. PP is such a smart and talented basketball player. We are going to need the Jays to start balling now. Right on cue JT hits the three! We need a lot more from JT going forward. C's ball movement has been pretty good overall. C's lead after the first.

🍀🍀

Derrick White needs to get his flow going here in the second. He missed all his shots in the first. We all know how good he is. It just takes one and then he will be in his way. First shot of the second for Derrick and it's a brick. Second one is pure! He needed that one!

PP is nothing but confident and it shows after that shot. He cooked Bruce Brown on that one. C's are allowing the Raptors to hang around and that scares me. Don't play with your food please. KP hits another trey! He's been perfect from behind the arc tonight. If it wasn't for him we would be down big.

These challenges take forever when there are easier ways to make these calls. JT hits a pure three! Nice seven nothing run to grab the lead. It would be nice to finish this half on a much bigger run. C's are looking like they are playing to the level of the Raptors tonight. KP finds PP for three! I am not pleased with the first half effort. Wearing ugly uniforms and playing that way. C's trail at the half.

☘️☘️☘️

Quality first half for both Payton Pritchard and Kristaps Porzingis. Leading them in scoring and overall play. Both guys have made their presence felt. They have each scored from deep and even inside. If it wasn't for them we would be getting killed. We will need a better showing from the Jays come second half. Especially here in the third.

We need our dynamic backcourt duo to get going. Jrue and Derrick have been extremely quiet lately. Each have made plays in the first half but not enough. C's have the third best record in the NBA but they need to play like it now. Are we watching a team who is waiting for the playoffs? Or are we watching a team coasting off their championship win last season?

KP for three! Jrue getting inside! That's a decent way to start up in the third. DWhite goes to the bucket and draws a foul. JT hits a three and I think they might be ready to play. JB scores and all our guys are getting in the action. C's defense sucks. I really hope Joe gets in their faces during this timeout. This isn't winning basketball.

I'm disgusted with the Celtics defense. Thankfully PP is doing his best to keep us in the game. Offensively we are playing decent enough. Yet the defense is absolutely awful. C's are losing and it's awful.

🍀🍀🍀🍀

C's must take control and put their stamp on this game. It has to happen on defense. They haven't and are now down by ten. This team has no will to win and it's becoming a problem. I don't want to say it but this team continues to underachieve this season. Losing to garbage teams all the time. If they lose this one it's the worst of the year. You can tell me it's the NBA and every team can win in a given night. Yet a good majority of the Celtics losses have come to teams who shouldn't be allowed to play NBA basketball.

I wish the regular season actually meant something but from what I'm seeing this year it doesn't. This team just doesn't have it right now. Worst loss of the season.

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S...

Did the Celtics Kevin McHale really have a wingspan of 8-feet?

According to many sources, the Celtics Kevin McHale did indeed have an estimated wingspan of 8-feet.
