In the Bayou

C's have played a solid first half. Defensively they have made some plays, and there have been I wish they could take back. Nice to see Derrick White in the flow during that half. He's rounding back into that stud we all know and love. Once again the Pelicans are playing off their butts vs us. I love seeing the C's in their traditional Green uniforms.

C's are having some lapses here in the second half. Everytime they look to extend this lead they allow the Pelicans to get right back in. I get every damn team gives us their best shot. C's are shooting themselves in the foot missing their free throws. Can't be giving away free points. The way Derrick White attacks and has that herky jerky motion is so tough to guard. This Pelicans team is a mess in all facets this season. C's are getting screwed on these screen calls. Eddie says the refs need to be more consistent! I agree!

JB is pure from deep! JB again! Bang! A much needed timeout by Joe as the defense is lacking severely right now. Brown is doing his best to get us a lead and the D let's it go. We come off a game where we blow the doors off the Bulls and now we are in a dog fight. We Must finish this third quarter off well. A bogus T on JB and the lead shrinks. What a freaking joke!

I've had my fill of all officials in all sports. There's no doubt in my mind they make choice calls based on bias and probably extra money finding their way into their pockets. Then when they don't make calls it's usually against my teams or teams I want to see win. Ever since I was young the calls that goes against the C's are aggregious. Today more than ever certain athletes and teams get more than anyone in the history of sports. Rant over... For now!

C's must defend if they want this win! I love seeing JT with Sam and Payton out there. The way he sees the floor he can find both of those sharp shooters in their spots. Luuuuuuuke is scoring like a boss right now! Luke earning the Tommy point on D with that near steal that leads to an actual steal. Luke always steps up when he's called upon. Love that guy!

JT to KP off the timeout is a beautiful play! It's what makes the C's so tough to guard. Finally the C's get a call! An illegal screen on the Pelicans. I can't believe my eyes! Where is JB? We are going to need him in to finish this stretch run tonight. JT to the cup for the double hammer JAM! Let's Go! Timeout for the Pels and now is the time to strike them down. Let's get our second win in a row and go for three in Philly Sunday.

What a set by the C's which leads to a corner three by DWhite. C's are using KP inside vs the mismatches on D. Very smart basketball right there. Joe is very good at coaching up that advantage. C's have missed way too many free throws tonight. It could cost them the game. C's have shown their meddle on that last defensive set forcing the shot clock violation. JB hits the fade away to give the C's a two point lead as the game is in the final seconds. One more defensive stop can seal the win. Game on the line and JT with the rock... Spins and shoots... It's in! C's with the lead! Two clutch shots back to back by your stars! Cash Money!

C Us Rise! Celtic Pride! Bleed Green! 19 is keen!

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S...
