Hawk on the menu

 🏀

Anyone who watched the Chiefs game knows how dirty all refs are. The way they fix games for the Chiefs is absolutely disgusting. When you see and hear former NFL players call out these refs you know there's a problem. C's now take on the Hawks, I'm hoping the C's can show their dominance as they did last night.

Jrue hits his first three of the night! I believe he's starting to get his groove back. JB is off to a great start himself. Getting by the defense and jamming it home. C's defense is doing some good things tonight. I love the way they are making the Hawks turn over the ball. Hopefully the D continues to show what it's made of.

Luke is doing a pretty good job as a starter tonight. He's just a good plug in guy to have when Al and KP are out. C's seem to play to Luke's strengths. Both JB and JT have found Luke in the paint. Queta is in the game and we will need him to make an impact. I wonder if X will get any run tonight?!

Overall the C's are showing that they came to play tonight. Defense is looking better overall. Offensively we are leaving some points out there. DWhite for three! Good to see him hitting his shot from deep. The best backcourt in the NBA is getting their groove back. C's lead after the first.

🏀🏀

C's D is doing what it should but unfortunately there are some minor breakdowns. C's are leaving some points out there. Just need to finish those plays. The lead is cut in half early here in the second. C's need to clean up their offense and get it going. I do like however them getting Queta involved.

Nice steal by the C's which ends in JB scoring on the break. Joe calls timeout as the D is lacking. He can see how the Hawks are making their move. The lead continues to dwindle. It's time to get JT going on offense. He showed yesterday how when he starts to cook, good things happen. Tonight's game is looking for JT to ball out here in the second.

I find that most NBA stars get a ton of calls. Yet JT gets no respect from these refs. I'm not looking for fake calls, I'm just looking for him to get the calls he deserves. C's have started to shoot like crap and they have lost their lead. It would be nice to see a run to close out the half. Sometimes their offense just sputters and it's hard to get it going. I get it's a back to back but come on fellas.

🏀🏀🏀

C's had a miserable second quarter and need to find that extra something here in the third. I can't take another freaking loss. Winning two in a row would be nice. C's just can't get out of their own way. They looked so good at the start of the year and now they look like just an average team.

This team is a mess. Now after I put that down they have some life left. Defense is picking it up and tad and we are getting to the line. DWhite hits a three and we are only down a point... Maybe there is a little heart left in this team. Let's hope after the timeout they can continue this kind of inspired play.

The defense has really done a good job here. I'm proud of them. JT hits a pure three and we have a lead! Queta has made some nice plays here in the third. I hope C's can finish this game with heart. I have to say the defense has lead to better offense. C's lead after three

🏀🏀🏀🏀

PP for three! C's are seizing their opportunities on defense here in the fourth. It's getting us out in transition and we are looking better. This looks like the Celtics basketball team I love. Just when you think they might take this one they allow this garbage team back in the game.

It's a tight one as we are under thirty seconds. C's have the ball. Overtime folks. The C's are lost right now.

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S...

Did the Celtics Kevin McHale really have a wingspan of 8-feet?

According to many sources, the Celtics Kevin McHale did indeed have an estimated wingspan of 8-feet.
