C's suffer another brutal loss

🏀

C's welcome the Rockets to the Garden. You can't help but remember the 81 and 86 Finals when we won both times vs Houston. Memories that will never fade away. So many good players on both ends but especially on the C's. KP and JB seemed locked in early tonight. It hasn't been smooth sailing after a win and playing at home. C's need to fix that trend and win tonight's game.

You have to tip your cap to how well Ime Udoka has these Rockets playing. They have taken on his personality. A tough minded, get down and dirty defensive squad. He had imparted that on the Celtics when he was Coach for that one year. I wonder if he ever thinks about what if... In regards to what he could have done with these Celtics.

Luke Kornet just jammed over Thompson and did it with authority! KP earning the Tommy point throwing the ball off of Brooks. Love seeing a top tier player making plays like that. When I was playing back in the day, I loved being that extra hustle guy. Especially given my limitations physically. PP diving out of bounds to save the possession!

C's have come out tonight with very good effort and energy. We see some early run for X and Queta. C's are short handed not having Derrick or Sam. Joe calls a timeout as the lead is gone. Nothing this season has been easy especially stringing wins together. It would be nice if the C's can do what's needed to win tonight.

🏀🏀

PP is starting to heat up, as he hits another three. Unfortunately for the C's the back end of the bench isn't very productive. X hasn't played much and it shows. While Walsh in my opinion just isn't very good. KP with the miss and follow up jam that brought the house down. The refs are starting to call everything and it's ruining the flow of the game.

What is going on with JT, he can't hit the front side of a barn right now. If the C's want any chance of winning this game he needs to get going. C's trail by four and Joe calls a timeout. C's need to find their rhythm on offense. They also need to match the Rockets intensity on the defensive end.

The game is starting to get away from the Celtics. This isn't a very good pattern we are seeing. KP with the block which leads to a Holiday three. C's are trailing by seven and if they don't make a run this game could be over here. C's have gone on a decent run here to cut into the lead. C's trail at the half. C's must come out in the third balls to the wall.

🏀🏀🏀

The C's have played relatively well, yet still trail here in the third. C's are going to be to make some stops on D. It would be nice if the C's can find a way to be in the lead at the end of the third. I'm never understand how the C's can go long moments without scoring. Great pass from Jrue to JT for the And One!

KP has five fouls already... C's should be ashamed giving up so many points to Brooks. Either put a hand in his face or hit em in the mouth. Tatum is starting to attack which is a good sign. Despite the rough shooting in the first half. Springer for three! The game is all tied up! Springer is showing why he deserves some more run out there.

Great look by JT finding Queta who gets to the line. PP for three! Huge shot right there! There is something pretty about nailing that corner three. Overall the fight has been there for the C's. They need to continue to grind and bring this one home. C's own a slim four point lead.

🏀🏀🏀🏀

What a pass from PP to Luke for the lay up! The back up bigs have played some pretty damn good basketball tonight. Kudos to Queta and Kornet. PP with another corner bomb! That was a thing of beauty! Ime seems rather pissed off and calls a timeout. C's have their largest lead of the game!

C's better expect to see the Rockets come out of this timeout like they are fighting for their lives. This Rockets team has something to prove. C's need to get their offensive flow going. Right on cue it's PP for three! Kornet with the put back two hand HAMMER! C's only have a seven point lead with about seven minutes to go.

Holiday with a huge three! The game is going down to the wire. C's must come up big on D. Absolute garbage call on Holiday right there. Huge defensive plays from KP and Jrue. Been a crazy game tonight.

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S...

Did the Celtics Kevin McHale really have a wingspan of 8-feet?

According to many sources, the Celtics Kevin McHale did indeed have an estimated wingspan of 8-feet.
