Sunday Matinee C's are hunting Wolves

C's look to tame some Wolves ... I love this picture because this is when ball was hard. You could do this get back up and keep playing.

🏀

The game has tipped... JB opens us up with a deep three! Followed up by JB blocking a shot from behind. JB with yet another three! JB from about half court... BANG! JB with two more threes! He's freaking en Fuego! What an incredible start for JB! Yet the rest of the team isn't doing very much.

C's must get someone in front of Edwards. Once he gets going towards the cup he's unstoppable... Someone needs to step up and make things difficult for him. The C's offense is very stagnant and really starting to worry me. JB with an incredible defensive play right there. Saves the C's from getting down even more.

Nice to C X getting some run here this afternoon. PP gets in and scores already! That young man is straight money! Not feeling very confident or comfortable with this game right now. C's are a mess overall, but theres time to get it going. PP for three and I'm starting to feel a little bit better. C's trail after one.

🏀🏀

C's have run off eight straight points and the lead is ours! Baskets by Sam, DWhite and JT! I like how the C's have come out and started to play Celtics basketball. C's need to tighten up on D, or they will be eaten alive. So far both Edwards and Randle have killed them. Not what I expect from a championship level defense.

Sam with some incredible effort securing a tap back, which found JT for THREE! Al with a huge swat down low. Gotta love that kinda D! JT puts his defender in the mixer and goes off glass. Love what I'm seeing right now, C's are pushing the pace right now. Al is knocking down threes like he's Ray Allen, who is in attendance today.

DWhite for three! JT gets the off ball foul while the shot falls in! C's are starting to push this lead to double digits. Nice job by the C's to settle themselves and get into a nice groove. C's getting hosed by the refs on that Horford screen. C'mon now! That's BOGUS!

Wolves are cutting into the lead. What a crap way to finish the quarter. C's hold a very slim lead.

🏀🏀🏀

Here we go in the third, time to reclaim some of that 10 point lead from earlier. Although it's fading extremely fast. JT with the pick and pop three that hits the bottom of the cup. That's a difficult play to say the least. Man the C's are a few baskets away from blowing this game wide open. The lead is climbing and the Wolves need a timeout.

Jrue Holiday with the excellent strip that goes off Randles knee. Which leads to DWhite for three! DWhite with the steal and finds JT for three! I believe the C's have found their sweet spot vs the Wolves here in the third. Now all they need to do is keep their foot on the gas. Do not let up and keep grinding em. The quicker you dispense of them, then you can rest guys. Especially given the Clippers are on tap tomorrow night.

DWhite with yet another Block! Get that weak crap outta here! DWhite with another block! This time on Anthony Edwards. Want to talk about impressive, that needs to hang in the Louvre. Jrue for three and the leads up to sixteen. You have to be impressed with how the C's have taken over this third quarter.

JT with the rainbow three over Gobert. Talk about a beautiful shot right there. That shot was absolutely incredible! X with the left layup on that last possession. The more run he gets the better he will become. I truly believe that with a full year under his belt with the Cs, he's gonna be good.

C's have three minutes left to add to this lead. They must finish these key minutes the right way! How you open and close quarters, are the differences between wins and losses. C's need to learn to follow their shots. Great block by X right there! Jrue finds a cutting PP and he scores plus one! That's how ya do it! C's with the lead after three.

🏀🏀🏀🏀

It all comes down to the fourth quarter. Sam with the lefty tip in! Huge play! JB with a nice step back to push the lead back to seven. C's need a defensive stop here. Instead they get a terrible foul called on them. JB drives and scores with the left! He's quite the physical specimen! Using that speed and strength to get to the cup.

DWhite for THREE! Unselfish pass from JB right there. Now that's the kind of play you want from your star. Both Jays have learned to lead with their play on the floor. The way their leadership has grown is pretty damn special. Unfortunately it took trading away a certain guard who used to play here.

The lead is down to four, and we have about five minutes left. JT dives into the crowd to save the rock. JT off the glass for the And One! C's have the rock with a six point lead. JB gets inside and scores! Both Jays have gone into the post as crunch time is up on us. They did that in the Washington game as well. The three is pretty in today's NBA but when crunch time calls, you get in the post.

DWhite with the three from the top of the key! Absolutely gorgeous! JB from DEEP! BANG! Huge shot right there. Now it's up to the defense to seal this game. C's Win!

C Us Rise! Bleed Green! Celtic Pride! Nineteen in Green!

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S

Did the Celtics Kevin McHale really have a wingspan of 8-feet?

According to many sources, the Celtics Kevin McHale did indeed have an estimated wingspan of 8-feet. One of those sources is Wikipedia, as seen below: Kevin McHale American basketball player DescriptionKevin Edward McHale is an American retired basketball player who played his entire professional career for the Boston Celtics. He is a Basketball Hall of Fame inductee, and is regarded as one of the best power forwards of all time. He was named to the NBA's 50th Anniversary All-Time Team.
