Back at it in Brooklyn

 First

We have the opening tip here in Brooklyn. C's look to rebound after that crap loss last night. Jrue posts up DS on the first possession, he doesn't score but he can own that matchup. Nice to see Queta get the start tonight. No Al on back to backs just like last season. C's must come out tonight and prove they can play tough defense. Last night they did not. Oh and maybe box out and rebound tonight!

Queta swats Johnson's weak attempt off the glass. I love the way he protects the cup! I love the fact Joe called out his teams toughness and effort against the Hawks. Another slow start on the offensive end. Their shots are not falling. Need to start to attack the paint! Right after those words hit the paper, JB nails a three. It's not the paint but it works!

C's are running in mud right now, they are totally out of it. The Nets have an early nine point lead. JT beats the buzzer and maybe that's the start of some good things for the C's. Followed by JB getting in the paint and drawing a foul. Honestly JB and JT can get to the darn rim whenever they want to. They are both built to own the paint. Theres a true art and beauty to scoring inside.

Joe calls the timeout as the C's look like they aren't invested. If I'm Joe I would rip into them. With that said this team will wake up after this timeout. Great set after the timeout, JT gets inside and finds Sam for three! JT with another excellent pass this time to Luke in the paint. I tell you this JT has excellent court vision.

PP with a deep three! Gets hit and is going to the line! PP is guy who if on another team would average some nasty numbers. JT gets no love when it comes to getting the whistle. Most stars get calls when they don't deserve them. Tatum deserves calls and gets crickets. JT uses the dribble steps back and nails the three! His game sometimes looks effortless. Yet we all know the work he puts in. C's trail after the first...

Second

Can we talk about how JT played those last few minutes in the first! He's been absolutely dominant! Getting into the paint and scoring at will. Jrue Holiday is a master defensive player! He's just so savvy! Sam I am nails the three and the C's have the lead. C's must protect the rock tonight or they will lose.

Great ball movement leads to a Jrue layup! CS finally showing why they are elite at moving the rock. C's close out the second with a lead.

     Second half thoughts...

If we look at what happened in tonight's second half we see a blue print for future games. There was no real let ups on defense and the offense was clicking. When this team moves the ball like that no team can stop them. JT came to ball all night long! PP was once again nails. Tonight's win was a total team effort. Kudos to JB as well for balling out!

Bleed Green! Celtic Pride! C Us Rise!

Nineteen in Green!

I'm not as upset as last game. I wear my emotions on my sleeve with this team. I love them!

A sorrowful farewell to Kitty's Restaurant (North Reading, MA) as a family tradition

Time to say "Goodbye" to Kitty's Restaurant - my   family's destination and tradition for six generations and more than 80 years. My memories of Kitty's go back to the early-1950's . I would accompany my dad and grandfather on fishing trips to the Ipswich River in North Reading, Massachusetts - followed by a visit to the restaurant on Main Street. In later years, my wife, Linda, and I would eat there with our two kids, Marc and Lisa - and years later - with our two grand daughters - and still later - with our great grandson, Carson. Author and family at Kitty's approx. 10 years ago Kitty's never disappointed. The drinks were big and well-made . The food was terrific - as were the portions. The service was exceptional and we became well-acquainted with the waiters and waitresses. It all worked so very well for many decades. My grand daughter, Courtney , was particularly fond of the restaurant. She was born with cystic fibrosis , and during her fr...
