Time to Work

The Celtics enter Cleveland all nodded up. They better not lose tonight or I may lose it. Go out there and work hard on defense please! Move the ball on offense and go get the W.

1st Quarter

C's must attack the cup tonight, nice to see JT hit his first shot. Jrue has gotten in the paint twice already which is great. JT with another three, maybe he's gonna go off tonight. JT to the cup for the lay in! He's going to need to keep this kind of effort and pace going all game. C's need to figure something out on D with Mobley. Not sure if it's the switches but Al needs to be on him. Great job by JT forcing him to travel, maybe that will work. C's offense seems slow at the get go. JB hits a big early three, followed up by a corner bomb from Sam I Am! The threes are falling early which should be a good sign. Last game they sucked from deep. I'm not sold on the C's defense right now, but I expect them to play much better as the game progresses. It would be nice if the C's can go on a run here to close out the first. Need to remind the Cavs who the better team is. Nice three by Jrue! C's lead after one.

2nd Quarter

Al gets the scoring going with a tip in gonna need more of that. Jrue Holiday grabbing big boards here tonight! Plays great D on LeVert and he loses the ball! The C's need to go on a run here, grab a bit of a lead. C's really need to clean up their D. Can Brown or Holiday guard him because the switches aren't working. Nothing the Cavs are running is complicated. C's need to dig deep on D and force them into difficult shots. Please play some freaking D... White finally gets on the board and scores at the line. Another huge shot from Jrue Holiday from deep! Great drive by JB on the break! Great block by Luke! C's need to keep pushing the pace! These refs suck tonight. I like what I see when the C's run. JT with a pure fade away jumper! That was absolute money! C's lead at the half.

3rd Quarter

C's must come back from halftime ready to beat this team into submission. If they continue to push the pace and defend at a high level they can do it. Hopefully the C's will cut down on the turnovers here in the second half. I hope the refs don't rear their ugly heads. JT opens up the third with an And One! DWhite for three! C's with some excellent ball movement as they push their lead! Let's Go! This looks more like the Celtics team I love. Last game I didn't know who that was... It would be nice if the C's continue to push this lead! DWhite for three again!! C's defense has been exceptional here in the third. The ball movement has been beautiful here at times. Joe takes the timeout as they allow a dumb run for the Cavs. You can't allow crap like that to happen after building a lead. Take the time to breath and regroup during this timeout. JB gets to the line and let's hope these free throws go down. C's must close this third with a strong run. JT to Luke for the JAM! JB big drive for the deuce. Great D by JB getting it to JT. Great block by Jrue and Luke! At least that's what I saw! C's timeout. Joe isn't happy with their offense right now and he's gonna let them know. JT with back to back huge baskets. The Jam and the Jordan fall away! JB for three! C's lead!

4th Quarter

Crap start to the quarter and Joe calls a timeout. C's need to weather the storm and come out punching. JT gets inside and scores. Another garbage call for the Cavs. JB to the rack! Pritchard for three! DWhite for three!!! Another garbage call as Mitchell flops. C's run in transition and score! C's are pushing the pace and that's what Joe wants! In the fourth so far I'm seeing things I like and things that make me want to throw my remote. C's up by fourteen and I need to see them close this game with an iron fist! When the C's run good things happen! Gotta close this one with hard core D and please rebound the damn ball. With that said a huge rebound from Jrue and the C's take the timeout. Gotta get a good play here. Good look for Al but he just can't hit a shot. JT with the filthy fall away! Nothing but net!

A sorrowful farewell to Kitty's Restaurant (North Reading, MA) as a family tradition

Time to say "Goodbye" to Kitty's Restaurant - my   family's destination and tradition for six generations and more than 80 years. My memories of Kitty's go back to the early-1950's . I would accompany my dad and grandfather on fishing trips to the Ipswich River in North Reading, Massachusetts - followed by a visit to the restaurant on Main Street. In later years, my wife, Linda, and I would eat there with our two kids, Marc and Lisa - and years later - with our two grand daughters - and still later - with our great grandson, Carson. Author and family at Kitty's approx. 10 years ago Kitty's never disappointed. The drinks were big and well-made . The food was terrific - as were the portions. The service was exceptional and we became well-acquainted with the waiters and waitresses. It all worked so very well for many decades. My grand daughter, Courtney , was particularly fond of the restaurant. She was born with cystic fibrosis , and during her fr...
