On the Road Again

C's are on the road again! Cue Willie Nelson! No Tatum or Al tonight, but that's not a problem. C's look to build their win streak vs the lowly Pistons.

1Q 🏀

X Man out here earning Tommy points early in the game. Grabbing the C's an extra possession! Those second chance plays add up in the end. You have to love a guy who can do what he does. The C's are starting to find their offensive footing here. JB has this ability to be into his jumper before the defender can even set their feet. He plays at a different level, which is why he's a stud. C's need to find their flow, and JB gets inside and scores. Good to see Sam back in the game, off of missing the last two. KP rips the cord and nails a pure three, C's trail as we speak. Joe calls the timeout because he's upset with the C's right now. C's better be ready to play and bring that energy! JB with the steal and score! Luke Kornet is out here grabbing one handed rebounds, but misses a rare free throw. C's are missing some opportunities right now. Not very impressed by the C's defense so far. ☘️

2Q 🍀🍀

C's need to have a signature quarter right now! PP with an excellent drive and kick to Sam for three! PP hits a corner three to give the C's the lead. Tonight feels like an old Western shootout, defense optional... DWhites three point shot tonight is off. Need to see him get to the rack, and take that edge off. I'm surprised to see so many empty seats out here tonight. I get Detroit sucks, but the C's usually travel well. What a shot by DWhite, as he gets the contact and scores! Overall the C's are starting to get their groove on, but the Pistons aren't going away. C's open a five point lead, I would love to see I doubled by the half. I mean in all reality it better be! What a play call as JB is found wide open right behind the free throw line. Nails it with such beautiful  ease. Damn JB just put Wiseman in the mixer and finished with the tear drop! C's must have read my mind and this lead is growing! Love seeing Joe hitting the floor helping KP off the floor. Joe has clearly put his stamp on this team in a good way. His love for basketball is very evident. Fournier SUCKS, by the way, can't believe how bad he's become. C's in the blink of an eye have nearly built this lead to twenty. 🏀🏀

3Q 🏀🏀🏀

What a first half from Payton Pritchard, I've loved him since he was drafted. Glad that love is fruitful, his game is beautiful! I would to see him have a great second half to cap off his great start. Anyone watch Yale basketball today?! Kudos to John Poulakidas as he scored 28. In the post game interview he gave all the glory to the Lord. Personally I love that. What's with Jrue Holiday and "dead arm". I really hope he gets better and gets back out here. Going to need him in the playoffs. Everyone is contributing to the C's dominance of the Pistons in this third. Loving what I'm seeing from everyone. Slight change from the starting lineup with Tillman on the bench. Kudos to Joe for teaching him a lesson. With that said I love Till get him in there! JB puts Ivey in the wash cycle and nails a pure three! The sound of that swish was sweeter than most. Whenever JB sees a gap in the D, he's hits it like a flash of lighting! C's with a comfortable lead. ☘️☘️☘️

4Q 🍀🍀🍀🍀

Good thing Detroit has Michigan football as Champs. This basketball team is a dumpster fire. They won't smell the playoffs for a long time. C's look to close this one out. C's must show they can closeout this game. Last game vs the Bucks they almost gave up the lead. Keep the ball moving, and don't slow things down. The more you play with pace, the better things go. Man the C's get hosed on a lot of calls. White gets hacked and no call. DWhite in this fourth has been carrying the C's offense. C's win their eighth in a row!

Bleed Green! Celtic Pride!

A sorrowful farewell to Kitty's Restaurant (North Reading, MA) as a family tradition

Time to say "Goodbye" to Kitty's Restaurant - my   family's destination and tradition for six generations and more than 80 years. My memories of Kitty's go back to the early-1950's . I would accompany my dad and grandfather on fishing trips to the Ipswich River in North Reading, Massachusetts - followed by a visit to the restaurant on Main Street. In later years, my wife, Linda, and I would eat there with our two kids, Marc and Lisa - and years later - with our two grand daughters - and still later - with our great grandson, Carson. Author and family at Kitty's approx. 10 years ago Kitty's never disappointed. The drinks were big and well-made . The food was terrific - as were the portions. The service was exceptional and we became well-acquainted with the waiters and waitresses. It all worked so very well for many decades. My grand daughter, Courtney , was particularly fond of the restaurant. She was born with cystic fibrosis , and during her fr...
