C's feel the Thunder

We get to see a young and upstart OKC welcome the Celtics tonight. We see the return of Jrue Holiday tonight! I love everything about Jrues game. I have been a fan of him on all the teams he's been on. When he was on the Bucks during that title run he came up clutch. I fully expect him to have those kind of moments as the Celtics continue this regular season and eventually the playoffs.

1st Q 🏀

C's break out their 15-1 starting lineup, let's make it 16! C's better dominate the boards tonight. JB feeds KP in the paint for the C's first basket. C's need to ride KP in the post vs the rookie. He's got no muscle at all, body him all game long. C's are going need to clamp down on D tonight. C's have a definite advantage in the post tonight. DWhite head to the locker room with a cut on his head. Not too impressed with how we are playing right now. These whistles have been very pro OKC to start. If these C's don't start to work on D they are gonna get rolled. C's with a well executed offensive set leads to the Hauser rainbow three. I love the ball movement, yet indifferent to the three. C's trail after one...

2nd 🏀🏀

C's are missing way too many threes, they need to start hitting the paint. It's unreal to me how bad the NBA can be with all this three point shooting on both ends. Thanks a lot Steph for screwing up the NBA. Leflop ruined the game and you screwed it up. Luke Kornet made a nice play hitting the ball off the OKC player. That's a Tommy Point! PP earns the Tommy Points off the hustle and gains the C's an extra possession. This game is starting to annoy me with the fact the C's aren't hitting their shots. Like they should be ahead for all intensive purposes. It's still very early in this quarter but it would be nice to see some shots fall for the fruits of their labor. C's are climbing back into the game. Just like that with their precise execution and swarming D the game is tied! C's and Thunder trading jabs as the score is back and forth. JB BRINGS THE THUNDER! With a vicious and loud two handed JAM! JB with the dish and JT hits the three for the lead! JT with the fade away! That's a pretty shot! This has all the makings of a barn burner. C's lead at the half!

3rd Q ☘️☘️☘️

Crap start to the third for the C's. Not a great start at all... What are they doing, after all that hard work to finally grab a lead and they give it right back to OKC. KP has been the most consistent player for the C's. Honestly this third quarter has been awful. The D stinks and the offense is still in the locker room. C's don't know how to play defense anymore. They don't look like a team that wants it tonight. JB needs to stop shooting anything but dunks. Games like tonight make me feel like the regular season really doesn't matter. Nothing this OKC team does impresses me personally. Kudos to Joe getting a T where Chet whiffs on a layup, yet gets the call. First time this season I don't want to watch the rest of the game. C's trail after the third.

4th Q 🍀🍀🍀🍀

JB scores off the one handed pop shot. Tonight isn't happening Cs fans... They look like crap. Okc is playing above themselves. Giddy has hit more threes tonight than his yearly stats show. It seems to me there's always one guy on each team that plays above who they are vs the C's. Tonight that's Giddy. No one wins an NBA title in a regular season game. Congrats OKC on winning nothing. As any championship team knows there are going to be ups and downs. Tonight is one of those downs. They fought to the end. Oh well on to Utah on Friday night.

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S

Did the Celtics Kevin McHale really have a wingspan of 8-feet?

According to many sources, the Celtics Kevin McHale did indeed have an estimated wingspan of 8-feet. One of those sources is Wikipedia, as seen below: Kevin McHale American basketball player DescriptionKevin Edward McHale is an American retired basketball player who played his entire professional career for the Boston Celtics. He is a Basketball Hall of Fame inductee, and is regarded as one of the best power forwards of all time. He was named to the NBA's 50th Anniversary All-Time Team.
