Running - not walking in Memphis

C's are on the road against the Grizz, unfortunately we won't see Marcus Smart. Expect the C's to hopefully run these Grizz right outta the building!

1st Q 🏀

JB opens up the game with a two handed JAM, against the entire Memphis team! Man I love this Celtics press, kudos to Joe and his staff for implementing it. Our backcourt of White and Holiday should be called the Masters of Defense! This duo is the best defensive backcourt in all the league. Z is out here balling, on both ends of the floor. Not sure who got my reference in the title but there should be some! Tonight should be a game the C's win big. If they could grab this game and light up the Grizz they might be able to rest guys in the fourth. Especially with the back to back tomorrow night in Charlotte. Yet to my dismay we trail by one, come on guys wake up.

2nd Q 🏀🏀

C's are firing up plenty of bricks right now. Drive the rock and get inside. Post up JT and let the man do his thing. Pritchard finally gets on the board, follows it up with a nice pass to Al. I'd love to see this kid get on a hot streak. The talent is there, it's just about execution! Sam I am hit a pure corner three that was music to Celtics fans ears. Those two guys are key for regular season success. Hauser is lighting it up! BOOK IT! Love the new guys catch phrase. Reminds me of Gorman's Got It! Tatum getting inside and going to work as we close out the half. I've seen a change in play after that Joe timeout, on both ends of the floor. C's need to close out this half like they are the better team. These refs SUCK! I'm dumb founded by the C's allowing the Grizz to be in this game. C's lead at the half. By only three...

3rd Q 🏀🏀🏀

Time to come out and beat them into submission. Porzingis with the oop from JB! JT brings the house down with the hammer JAM! C's force the 24 second clock violation, gotta love it! These officials are terrible tonight so much so JB gets a T. At least make the calls fair and consistent. So far tonight the refs have been pro Memphis. I'm guessing some high profile betters want the Grizz to win. C's are having way too much trouble tonight. That doesn't bode well especially tomorrow vs another inferior opponent in Charlotte. Z with a HUGE BLOCK! Mr Rim Protector! This game feels like you went to the dentist and they pulled your tooth but it shattered into pieces in your gums. That's how painful the refs have made tonight's game. C's lead but it isn't pretty after the third.

4th Q 🏀🏀🏀🏀

Game is a damn joke right now, as the C's lose the lead. Jrue Holiday making big plays to help the C's tie the game. C's force another shot clock violation and look to grab the lead. JT for the three and we grab the lead. C's really need to lock down and go on a run. C's take the D and turn it into a JT JAM! Holiday finds DWhite for a huge corner three! ANOTHER PHANTOM OFFENSIVE FOUL ON THE CS. WHAT A JOKE! BOGUS CALLS! ChanNeling my inner Tommy and hearing him yell at these officials. Eight offensive fouls is disgusting. What are we doing refs?! What an absolutely insane ending. C's get the rock on an offensive rebound up two. Tatum finds Holiday who misses a dunk... Down the floor Memphis for three a miss, rebound Grizz and Z saves the game as he blocks the last shot. My GOODNESS!

CELTIC PRIDE! BLEED GREEN!

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S

Did the Celtics Kevin McHale really have a wingspan of 8-feet?

According to many sources, the Celtics Kevin McHale did indeed have an estimated wingspan of 8-feet.
