An overtime failure

Celtics are coming off a nice win in Brooklyn. Despite missing Derrick White the C's ended up playing very well. Porzingis, Brown, Holiday and Tatum scored in double digits. This team is going to be very difficult to beat. I expect most of my writings to be based off wins.

C's are taking on the T Wolves tonight and these Dawgs are defensively oriented. C's will have to be locked in on both ends. I expect a close game but a Celtics win. C's will start the Jays, Al, Porzingis and Jrue.

First Quarter 🏀

Early on the C's are turning defense into offense...two DUNKS! Al Horford continues to make winning plays, securing the offensive rebound. That's what you love to see from one of your tenured veterans. Porzingis is deadly from three! JB just climbed over Gobert and JAMMED IT HOME! Literally took the air out of the Target Center.

Tonight's going to be a rock fight...punches and counter punches are being thrown by both teams. JB is heating up! He seems locked in for tonight's matchup. He's been active on both ends so far tonight. Lamar Stevens is getting some action tonight.

The Celtics press, forces a huge turnover! Love this defensive look by the C's. Kudos to Joe and his staff for bringing the press into their game plan. These Wolves are not backing down tonight. C's are gonna have to get dirty on defense.

Am I the only one loving Joe's new glasses?! Those are straight fire! JT just straight abused Reid off the dribble and finished with the left. His willingness to drive and post up this season make him damn near unstoppable. C's trail after the first...

Second Quarter ☘️☘️

Luke Kornet has been great on the glass, last game and here tonight. C's offense is a bit choppy. JT off the screen gets inside and JAMS it home! JT off the steal gets to the rack and gives that rim a beating! Boom Baby Boom!

Despite all the size the Wolves have, these Celtics are attacking the rim successfully. Jrue Holiday on this team has the capability to be a triple double guy. Given his pure point guard stats, along with his rebounding dude has it all.

The game is nip and tuck, as Tatum forces Edwards into a bad shot. Tatums length and strength are a headache for Edwards. Loving the new kid on the broadcast. C's got that hire right, unlike when the signed Scal. C's lead at the half in a tight battle...

Third Quarter 🏀🏀🏀

KP for three to open up the third quarter! That's how you open up a tightly contested game. Wolves come right back with a few blows of their own. Anthony Edwards is a pretty special talent, needs to hit his free throws. Wolves on an 11-2 run, not ideal at all.

Midway through the third and it's all tied up. Gonna be a fight till the end. C's are off on the offensive end right now. Shots are off, and they need to get to the hoop. Timeout C's as they trail by four. C's challenge the play as KAT committed an offensive foul. C's only trail by two.

Very choppy third quarter and the C's offense hasn't been on point. Wolves amped up their D. Wolves lead after three quarters of basketball.

Fourth Quarter 🍀🍀🍀🍀

Time for the C's to come out and own this fourth quarter. Sam finally hits a three ball. That was very much needed for Sam and the team. This needs to be a Tatum centered fourth quarter. C's need to get Tatum the ball.

Tatum with the rock and the game is tied! C's need to go thru Tatum the rest of the game. He sees the court better than anyone. Plus the Wolves have no answer for him. JT for three! Dude is a machine right now! What a game we are all tied up! C's trail late and are going to need to hunker down on D.

JB to the cup and the game is tied! C's with the incredible D! Force a shot clock violation! C's decide to hack Rudy Gobert and force him to the line. His form sucks! C's with the rock and a chance to take the lead. JB for three! Wolves tie it. Now here we are all tied up. Cs have the rock. Great timeout by Joe and let see what he draws up. Kudos to Joe this season for really doing a better job.

Overtime 🏀🍀🏀☘️🏀

Jrue Holiday! Forces the offensive foul on KAT! That's winning basketball on defense. Holiday with the steal on the other end and scores! C's with the lead! Guy is a winner! JT uses his skill and smarts to get Kat to foul out! Winning basketball! What an absolute crap call with Conley falling on his face.

C's failing to execute late in the game and that may cost them. Sad to see them lose tonight. On to Wed in Philly. Bleed Green! Celtic Pride!

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S

Did the Celtics Kevin McHale really have a wingspan of 8-feet?

According to many sources, the Celtics Kevin McHale did indeed have an estimated wingspan of 8-feet. One of those sources is Wikipedia, as seen below: Kevin McHale American basketball player DescriptionKevin Edward McHale is an American retired basketball player who played his entire professional career for the Boston Celtics. He is a Basketball Hall of Fame inductee, and is regarded as one of the best power forwards of all time. He was named to the NBA's 50th Anniversary All-Time Team.
