Who will be Celtics 3rd man off the bench? Join our contest.

The Boston Celtics' top-6 players (Tatum, Brown, Porzingis, Horford, White, Holiday) appear to be in place, and with Payton Pritchard's solid performances in the three preseason games thus far, it seems that he would be the 7th guy - the second player off the bench.

Pritchard leads all Celtics players in total minutes in exhibition (76.2), followed in order by Sam Hauser, Delano Banton, Oshae Bisset, Lamar Stevens, Luke Kornet, Svi Mykhailiuk, Jordan Walsh, J. D. Davison, Neemias Queta, and Wenyen Gabriel. Expect Joe Mazzulla to continue experimenting with his lineups and there will be cuts when Brad Stevens trims down the roster prior to the regular season.

Here's the deal. We are looking for our readers to predict the Guy-in-Green with the eighth-most minutes in Boston's first regular season game versus the Knicks on October 25, 2023. We also need an estimate of that 8th guy's total minutes-played in that one contest. The player's name and minutes must be submitted by 3:00 P. M ET on October 25thYou can make only one submission, either in the comment section of this article - or any other CelticsSentinel article prior to October 25. Submissions can also be made via Twitter or Facebook when our articles appear there.

Our prize will be the Sam Jones bio, Ten Times a Champion, signed by the late superstar himself and author, Marc C. Bodanza. So all you have to do is guess which player will have those 8th-most minutes - and and the amount of minutes - to the nearest tenth-of-a-minute (Ex: 28.3 minutes)

It starts today, and if your guy gets cut - you get another submission prior to the start of the Celtics regular season. Join in. You can't lose. Please leave contact info if responding via comment section of our articles.

  1. I’ll say Hauser since you have two pictures of him(plus because he has better two way skills). I’ll say 12 minutes since I think they will play a longer bench initially

    1. Thanks. Just bring that minutes number to 3 digits to prevent a tie. Example: 12.0 minutes, 12.4 minutes, etc.

A sorrowful farewell to Kitty's Restaurant (North Reading, MA) as a family tradition

Time to say "Goodbye" to Kitty's Restaurant - my   family's destination and tradition for six generations and more than 80 years. My memories of Kitty's go back to the early-1950's . I would accompany my dad and grandfather on fishing trips to the Ipswich River in North Reading, Massachusetts - followed by a visit to the restaurant on Main Street. In later years, my wife, Linda, and I would eat there with our two kids, Marc and Lisa - and years later - with our two grand daughters - and still later - with our great grandson, Carson. Author and family at Kitty's approx. 10 years ago Kitty's never disappointed. The drinks were big and well-made . The food was terrific - as were the portions. The service was exceptional and we became well-acquainted with the waiters and waitresses. It all worked so very well for many decades. My grand daughter, Courtney , was particularly fond of the restaurant. She was born with cystic fibrosis , and during her fr...
