Jaylen Brown First Quarter Machine

Last time we saw the C's in Washington they got their butts handed to them. Better not happen today!

1st Quarter 🏀

Great job by JB off the dribble and gets inside. That's the part of the court he should own no matter who's guarding him. Whether it be off the dribble or cutting to the cup. JT just made Jordan Poole look like a guy who got punched in the face on defense. Porzingis is dominant in the paint tonight. The Wizards have no one to guard him. Not too many teams do!

C's defense seems locked in right now. I absolutely love it! Grind these Wizards into nothing more than a cloak and wand! Celtics ball movement has been looking smooth! Let's Go Celtics! This is the kind of basketball I can get behind! I know Tommy would approve of what we are watching right now.

Jrue Holiday is a brick house physically and he makes the guys defending him look small. Everything about his game is solid, solid as a rock! His defense is tenacious, and he rebounds like a forward. Offensively he's a complete player.

Jaylen downtown Brown is lighting up the scoreboard! He's come to play tonight! Straight baller right now! C's have scored 40 plus in this first quarter! You can't really complain about anything. These are the kind of starts you want against inferior teams.

2nd Quarter 🍀☘️

C's are pressing the Wizards full court! Gotta love it! It's all about defense Celtics fans! As I always say DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS! AL Horford has been very active tonight. Al coming off the bench to me is huge! Saves him for the post season especially.

C's aren't messing around tonight, they came to play and are giving it everything they have on both ends. C's are en Fuego! These Celtics are here on a mission!

The D hasn't been as tight and Joe calls a timeout. Time to get the guys refocused back on all fronts. They have a huge lead but still need to play Celtics basketball. JAYLEN BROWN IS UNCONSCIOUS OUT THERE TONIGHT! BING BANG BOOM!

3rd Quarter 🏀🏀🏀

C's come out with the same fire they started with! JB hasn't cooled down at all! In a game like tonight, we need to see them play consistently on both ends. It's about developing those habits that matter. Playing hard on both ends and not letting your foot off the gas!

Jaylen has to learn how to give the ball up. I love the way he's playing tonight but share the rock. Things are a tad choppy right now. I mean the lead feels and seems safe, yet I want to see them continue to play at a high level.

Tatum and Brown have balled out tonight. Absolutely showing why they are studs in this league. It's been a dominant performance to this point. Unreal how good this team can be.

4th Quarter 🍀☘️🍀☘️

C's should be able to continue to beat teams like this if they play hard on both ends! You have to be impressed by both of the Jays tonight! They came out and kicked the Wizards to the curb.

Celtic Pride Bleed Green!

Nik Stauskas adds "shooting with size" voiced by Brad Stevens

As a 6'6" shooting guard, 28-year-old Nik Stauskas adds that shooting with size sorely needed by the Boston Celtics. Drafted 8th-overall by the Sacramento Kings in 2014, Stauskas has bounced around to various teams since then. Nik Stauskas' deal with the Boston Celtics includes non-guaranteed salary for the second season in 2022-23, a source tells @celticsblog . — Keith Smith (@KeithSmithNBA) March 4, 2022 Nik has never averaged more than 9.5 points per game in the NBA, but Boston is most likely counting on his production for Grand Rapids in the G League as the incentive to sign him. In 17 games thus far, he has averaged 24.7 PPG, 6.2 RPG, 4.8 APG - while shooting 50% on field goals and 45% on treys. Nik Stauskas is signing a two-year deal with the Boston Celtics, his agents Mark Bartelstein and Andy Shiffman of @PrioritySports tell ESPN.
