Another step towards history?

Celtic Pride goes deep, especially in my family. Hope loves her some Celtics. An epic first half for the Celtics. Their defense has been excellent tonight. The way they are moving the ball is amazing! Derrick White has been superb from beyond the arc. Jaylen Brown has come out to prove why he's All NBA! JAYSON CHRISTOPHER TATUM has been on fire. Al Horford and Marcus Smart are knocking down shots.

Celtics defense is leading to a ton of Miami turnovers. It's quite an interesting turnout when you actually play defense. Need the defense to be ready to fight in the second half. Need the ball movement to continue.

Al just abused Flopper Lowry! Can't stand Lowry. JB just BROUGHT THE HAMMER! Marcus Smart is getting a little too careless. Cs see the lead dissipate, and Joe actually uses a timeout. That's a good coaching move. The Cs need to go on a run themselves here. Tyler Herro looks like a damn fool in that outfit. Another player who makes me sick!

Derrick White has been EN FUEGO!!! JT just abused Max Strudel! JB just abused Highsmith! This Heat team can't sustain a full possession on defense. GWill for threeeeeeeee!!! C's need to make some stops despite the lead. C's are getting what they want on offense. Marcus with a big steal!

When the C's put forth effort on both ends of the floor they can be amazing. The key is keeping the defensive effort at full blast. That's what will need to be carried down to Miami on Saturday if they can complete this win. Need to stomp all over Miami as this game gets to the end. GWill diving on the floor is Celtics basketball!

Cs will need to have an excellent fourth quarter if they want to win. Need to see Tatum and Brown finish this off strongly. Nice to see Paul Pierce in attendance tonight. He had plenty of special moments in Green and White.

The game is still not over given the Cs woes in the fourth in the first two games. Joe calls a well timed.... Timeout! He's starting to learn when to make use of these coachable tools. He also did a great job challenging that flopper Lowrys non charge.

JB goes hard to the cup and scores! DWhite with yet another three! He's been awesome tonight. It looks like we are going to game six. One game at a time has been the message and we are on to Saturday night. Take the Heats heart out on Saturday and bring this thing home on Monday!

Bleed Green! Celtic Pride! Banner 18?

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S

Did the Celtics Kevin McHale really have a wingspan of 8-feet?

According to many sources, the Celtics Kevin McHale did indeed have an estimated wingspan of 8-feet. One of those sources is Wikipedia, as seen below: Kevin McHale American basketball player DescriptionKevin Edward McHale is an American retired basketball player who played his entire professional career for the Boston Celtics. He is a Basketball Hall of Fame inductee, and is regarded as one of the best power forwards of all time. He was named to the NBA's 50th Anniversary All-Time Team.
