The Milwaukee Bucks still hold the best record in the NBA, but the Celtics performance in their Thursday win over "The Deer" showed that The Green fear no opponent. The victory was decisive - and, yes - revealed the omnipotence of Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum and their compadres.

No other team has a legit replica of The Jay Team. Tatum and Brown are so skilled and athletic, opponents find it nearly impossible to stay with them away from the hoop. They are lightening-quick and have become masters at evading defenders.

Time and hard work have seasoned both stars, and Boston's other cast of characters now appear ready for the post-season. Bring on Miami, Philly, Milwaukee, Phoenix or whoever. There have been legit questions about the team's dedication and work ethic during the regular season, but the guys in green may have answered the call. They seem ready for the real test.

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game.
