Time to Man Up!

Tonight should be a must win! Why??
A. Friday Night Was Atrocious.....
B. The Knicks think they own you, that is unacceptable!
C. Homecourt is a good luxury to have.
D. Celtic Pride

 1st Quarter Moments

Marcus Smart earns the C's an extra possession early on, Tommy Point! The masked man hits the deep three! All hands on deck tonight, great job yet again by Marcus saving another possession.

Lately JT is doing a very good job at following up missed shots. A skill that a lot of NBA players don't have anymore. Not even the guy who shoots the ball follows it. I was always taught to follow your shot. This may a niche Tatum has found and added to his game.

Despite trailing early, the C's have active hands on defense. They better keep this pace up all game. I do need to see someone challenge Randle and shut him down.. I've seen enough of his arrogance on the floor. He rubs me the wrong way.

C's need to attack Josh Hart after his malarkey from the last time we played them. I need to see a large Celtics run and blow the doors off this Knick team. I love seeing JT hitting a shot in Harts face. I'll tell you this, the three point shot doesn't take skill when guys like Randle are hitting them. I truly love Derrick White, grabbing the board and getting an and one. Celtics lead after the first.

2nd Quarter Moments

Tikka Muscala getting some elevated minutes, he's already making an impact! It would be nice to see him score about 12 to 15 tonight. He's been doing pretty good securing rebounds tonight.

Derrick White does everything right on a box out and gets called for a foul. It's Ludicrous! Josh Hart just falls over his own two feet, foul Celtics. Horrendous! My distaste for the refs goes back a very long way!

JB pulling up for three in the flow is the best thing for him! He's lights out from deep like that. He plays with a sense of urgency and aggression I love to see. You need your star to be balls to the wall. Offensively he has all the tools, just needs to work on his distribution skills.

C's are acting sloppy on the offensive end right now. Sick of the turnovers lately in general. Protect the damn basketball! It would be nice if the C's wouldn't allow the Knicks any momentum. Yet they let them back into the game per usual. Lesser opponent, and the C's have no interest in playing with effort.

C's come out the timeout, and move the ball to perfection. Leading to a JT three! Need to see a lot more of that. How are the Knicks in the bonus already?? I'll tell you because the officials are crooked.

Kudos to the Wolverine for drawing a charge on the Knicks center. Like a bull in a china closet. C's need to look in the mirror and find their heart. DWhite earns a Tommy point by saving the possession! DWhite with a HUGE JAM! THEY HAVE A PULSE! THE BLOOD IS FLOWING!

C's own the lead at the half! They are killing it on second chance points! We needed a run and finally earned one!

3rd Quarter Moments

I think each and every Celtic fan needs to send positive vibes to this third quarter. C's tend to be very flat after the half. Almost as if they never played basketball before. That better not be the case tonight. Balls 2 the wall!

JT opens up the scoring with a three, that's a decent sign. JT finds Al in the corner for three! Threes are WILD! Randle misses a three, welcome back to earth!

Marcus Smart has just broken Julius Randle. Drawing a charge, and now getting a T from him! He elbowed Marcus in the face. Dirty! Check Mate Marcus! He tends to get in guys heads get regularly. Love the mind games!

JB stops on a dime, and hits the fall away in Randles face! Give us some more of that! I'd try to take advantage of that matchup, feed JB the rock! They do and he gets the ball moving and Marcus ends up with a wide open three!

The C's D has picked up quite a bit! Give me this the rest of the way and ill be smiling! Defense wins championships and we want one! It's been way too long since we got a ring.

C's are controlling the pace in this third quarter. I am so tired of Scal and his love for the Knicks.... Love seeing JB on the fast break! He's so damn quick! Time out Knickerbockers, finish them! Al doing his part hitting a sweet three pointer!

C's allow Knicks back into the game. As they typically do, playing with their food instead of eating it. C's trail, not surprised.

4th Quarter Moments

Cs playing like garbage to start the fourth.

JT to the rack for the and one, that's what we need to see more of. This game sucks right, this team sucks right now.

JT with a step back three and then a monster JAM! The fans are back in the game, the C's trail by three. Make it happen now or you guys are done. Time to D up and get the ball into the JJays hands!

JB quick as a lazer scores and the foul! The game is tied, time to win this thing. JB sees the floor so quickly and makes such master class moves! Like lightening! Blink and you miss him getting to the hoop! JB gets inside with a chance to tie it up! JB comes up HUGE!

Overtime Moments

SMART FOR THREEEEEEEEE!!! Please win this damn game.

GWill at the line puts the C's up by one. Time to play defense.....

MARCUS SMART WITH THE DEFENSE!!! That was HUGE!

C's need a big play here down by one, J5 finds Al in the corner.... Al for THREEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!

Double Overtime Moments

C's just can't close... Getting beat by Quickley a nobody.

C's can't rebound to save their basketball lives.

C's taking too many threes which will be their doom tonight.

Another game crapped down the toilet. They failed to Man up like I wanted and expected them to tonight. Sad.... Very sad....

The Celtic Knights Honest Opinion

Right now after the first I'm sick and tired of Julius Randle. He always over performs vs the C's. Unfortunately for him he choked away a chance at a ring in college. Time for Marcus or Grant to knock him into next week!

Derrick White is freaking awesome! He is so special, he plays hard on both ends. He exemplifies what it means to be a CELTIC! He earns the C's plenty of extra possessions with his hustle. You want to know what the C's are up at the half look at that MAN! Brought the energy and hustle!

Celtic allow the Knicks back into the game because they can't ever do anything easy. Absolutely freaking disgusting... Up by fourteen they crap themselves yet again. That's becoming their trademark. Sick and tired of this same tired story.

Sad ending to yet another sad game.

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S

Did the Celtics Kevin McHale really have a wingspan of 8-feet?

According to many sources, the Celtics Kevin McHale did indeed have an estimated wingspan of 8-feet. One of those sources is Wikipedia, as seen below: Kevin McHale American basketball player DescriptionKevin Edward McHale is an American retired basketball player who played his entire professional career for the Boston Celtics. He is a Basketball Hall of Fame inductee, and is regarded as one of the best power forwards of all time. He was named to the NBA's 50th Anniversary All-Time Team.
