Visiting the Lone Star State, the Celtics look to show their manhood. A TNT primetime game, puts Luka and the Jays in the spotlight.

1st Quarter ☘️

We better see some fire as the C's come out tonight! Decent ball movement opens up the game and Marcus hits a three! What we really need to see is some very high level defense. There is no way we win a ring unless we step up and play tough defense. They are capable of doing so, we saw that last year.

Great job by Marcus drawing a foul on Luka... Get him in foul trouble early! Nice to see the C's attack the paint, as JB finds Al! They need to exploit the Mavs down low. JTs three point shot has been missing in action lately. I want to see him attack the rim and get to the line. No one can stop him when he has a head of steam.

The Celtics have become very good at starting slowly on offense. Generally when that happens they let other aspects of their game slide. Let's hope that is not the case tonight. Please just attack the hoop and paint. Force these refs to actually do their job.

Excellent ball movement after the timeout. Leads to a wide open GWill three!!! Great post up move by GWill scoring yet again! He should post up more often he has the body too! Almost a Clarence Weatherspoon type body. Great job by the D on these last few possessions.

Nice to see Haus Money scoring on his first shot! JT is starting to simmer, building his way into a full on cooking show! Timeout by the Mavs as the C's are starting to figure it out on offense. If they can clamp down on D it may be an early night for the Mavs.

Hauser is such a liability on defense, Luka is killing him. It's so important to have RWill back and he's paying dividends right now! He's active on the glass, he's just like the Energizer bunny! Celtics lead after one 29-29

2nd Quarter 🍀🍀

No Luka right now, time to build on this lead. JB with a head of steam and gets to the rim! Let's Go! What a cut by MB off the feed from GWill and the Celtics score! I'm gonna say this as I always do, cutting is a lost art in basketball! When the C's are willing and able it actually works!

Robert Williams just sent Christian Woods weak shot where it belongs! Get that bleep outta here! This team is finally being the aggressor, unlike the other night in OKC. When you bring the fight to other teams they tend to not play as hard.

GWill just took Wood into the spin cycle and gets the deuce. Time to finish it off with an And One! The refs are very one sided right now. I'll give you intelligent readers one guess who they are rooting for?!

C's ball movement is finally where it should be! Smart passes, and actual trust in one another as well. Which is leading to a decent lead. It would be spectacular if they could double it by the end of the quarter.

Amazing Al nails the corner threeeeeeeee!!! It's nice to see the Celtics offense have that early season feel to it. My guy DWhite for THREEEEEEEEE!!! Love this kid! DWhite for THREEEEEEEEE again!!!

The lead is in flux, it's only fourteen. Let's add to it after this timeout. Build it to a cool twenty and watch this Mavs team fold like origami! Al missing a free throw just doesn't seem right. Tim Hardaway is carrying the ball every time he dribbles. Currently speaking both Jays are under their average in scoring, yet they have a decent lead. It's a team game and the team is playing well!

JT just made Luka look like a fool going right by him for the deuce! JT for THREEEEEEEEE!!! DWhite with an excellent block on Dinwiddie. Defense! Defense! Defense!

Celtics have built the lead as I wanted to see by the end of the quarter. Almost doubled it from earlier. Celtics lead at the half 64-46.

3rd Quarter ☘️☘️☘️

C's are a bit cold to start the third, they need to settle things down. Get back to moving the ball on offense. JB goes hard to the hoop and draws a much needed foul. JT goes to the hoop and also draws the foul. Love the fact the C's continue to attack the rim. When your shots aren't falling, Attack! Attack! Attack!

JT just put the entire Mavs team into the salt shaker, as he glides to the cup! Shake! Shake! Shake! The C's passing is popping like a good batch a buttery popcorn!

C's needed a bucket, and JT takes it to the cup and draws the foul. That's a smart basketball play. Need to see them amp up the D to finish off this quarter. JB for THREEEEEEEEE!!! Marcus for threeeeeeeee!!!

Celtics have answered a Mavs run by raining down threes! Extending their lead and basically telling the Mavs you can hit the showers early. Proud of how this team has answered the call after getting destroyed last game. This is more like the Celtics basketball we all love.

C's came out after a sluggish start and just lit up the Mavs. Great ball movement and quality defense has lead to the Celtics leading 89-65.

4th Quarter 🍀🍀🍀🍀

JT opens up the fourth with a silky smooth jumper! It's nice to see the C's have such a huge lead. Especially with the Jays not scoring their averages. That's a complete team!

JT with the step back THREEEEEEEEE!!! JT blowing kisses to the crowd! Much love from JT to the Mavs fans!

Great job by the C's tonight, bringing the fight and energy to the Mavs. After their worst game of the year, they bounced back quite nicely. Moving the ball with crisp passing, playing some tight D, and actually playing with heart and effort.

Brad and Joe chewing gum at the same time is epic TV being brought to you by TNT.

Mavs are on a run, and JT stops that run all on his own! JT to JB for the alley OOP!!! Quite a stat line for JT tonight! JB for THREEEEEEEEE!!! That may be the end of the night for the Jays!

Celtics win a must win game against Luka and the Mavs. Final score Celtics 124 -Mavs 95.

Bleed Green! Celtic Pride!

Side note continued prayers for Buffalo Bills player Damar Hamlin, as he continues to heal.

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S

Did the Celtics Kevin McHale really have a wingspan of 8-feet?

According to many sources, the Celtics Kevin McHale did indeed have an estimated wingspan of 8-feet. One of those sources is Wikipedia, as seen below: Kevin McHale American basketball player DescriptionKevin Edward McHale is an American retired basketball player who played his entire professional career for the Boston Celtics. He is a Basketball Hall of Fame inductee, and is regarded as one of the best power forwards of all time. He was named to the NBA's 50th Anniversary All-Time Team.
