Saturday Evening in San Antonio

1st Quarter ☘️

C's come out ready to fight! They are off to early 7-0 lead! Tonight's a night a grab an early lead and never look back! JB for THREEEEEEEEE!!! C's are up early! Hopefully this is a total blowout!

DWhite for THREEEEEEEEE!! Nice to see him starting off well! I absolutely feel DWhite is the perfect player for the Celtics.

Marcus gets inside and scores, attack the paint! The more the C's attack the paint the better opportunity we have to win! Great job by Rob the Lob earning the C's another possession! MB pays it off by nailing the THREEEEEEEEE!!! This is why Robs health is so important!

The C's have allowed the Spurs back in the game. Time to button up on D! Former Celtic JRich looks good out there. He would have been a player that helped us win Banner 18 last season. Wyc was too cheap to pay the tax. RWill with a follow up JAM!

CELTICS lead 33-30 after one.

2nd Quarter 🍀🍀

JT off the pass glides to the hoop gracefully and scores! Haus Money with a nice midrange jumper extends the Celtics lead. MB drives hard to the hoop and scores and the C's are up by nine! Keep pushing the pace fellas! Let's Go!

JT for THREEEEEEEEE!!! It's as pure as Poland Spring water! JT to the hoop, that's the JT I love the most! JT with yet another nuthing but net THREEEEEEEE!!! It's been the JT show this quarter! Love seeing the progression of this young man!

C's are on a 14-4 run over the last three minutes. Hopefully they can continue to push this lead! Al gets inside and scores! JB hits the rim hard for two! C's are getting inside the paint tonight!

C's have maintained a solid nine point lead. JB scores his patented fall away jumper. It's beyond beautiful seeing that move. Marcus gets way too cute on the pass and turns it over. I love the way he sees the floor, but just make the simple pass.

MB hits a nice step back THREe!!! Celtics lead by ten as the Spurs call a timeout. Marcus finds JT inside and he scores easily, that's playing Celtics basketball! JT gets to the cup and draws the foul. Live in the paint JT, you could eventually own it. Celtics have built a nice thirteen point lead.

Rob the Lob with the steal and score! Mr Energizer Bunny is showing his stuff! I'm actually watching the Celtics broadcast in Portuguese tonight! I tell ya I don't miss Scal! Celtics lead after two 68-57.

3rd Quarter ☘️☘️☘️

Personally I would love to see the C's come out and blow the doors off the Spurs. Nice to see the active hands on D by Marcus. JT for THREEEEEEEEE!!! C's are allowing the Spurs to stay in the game. Just like that the lead is down to one.

You would have expected the C's to come out and close the door. Instead they have left it wide open for the Spurs. This isn't how you close out a game. This is how you lose a game.

Will the C's right the ship and start playing lockdown defense?! They need to if they expect to win. If not they are heading back to Boston losers. We need to see the Celtics move the ball and play their game.

Great job by the Wolverine forcing an offensive foul on the Spurs. Marcus heads to the locker room. JT for THREEEEEEEEE!!! Tonight needs to be a JT and JB led win. Whether they start scoring at will or by getting their teammates involved.

MB for threeeeeeeee!!! That's my dude! Let's go! He's such a huge piece off the bench. JB gets to rack with a chance for an and one! This game is way too close for comfort. Let's close this quarter out well!

What a block by RWill! He does all the little things needed to win basketball games. C's are closing this quarter out like a championship team should! Man oh man do I miss JRich. He's killing us! Celtics lead after three 93-89.

4th Quarter 🍀🍀🍀🍀

C's have a slim three point lead as we speak. MB changes that in a flash with a sweet three point shot! He's playing a heck of a game. C's need to D up because the Spurs are here to play! MB scores yet again, he's such a huge asset to this team.

Sam I am Haus Money for THREEEEEEEEE!!! Nice to see him slowly find his shot again. For a while there it was missing in action! If he's going to be an impactful piece he needs to be more consistent.

JBs midrange pull up is as sweet as a Ferraro Roche! There's not much this young man does that you can complain about. He still needs to work on his turnovers and passing. With that said he's legit in all other areas!

What a feed by MB to JB! Book it, that's money you can deposit on the spot! CaChing! C's with a nice nine point lead right now. Keep attacking the Spurs and build this lead!

DWhite to cup and scores! Love his aggression going to the cup! JT with a two handed hammer DUNK! Yet the lead has now shrunk to five. This Spurs team is scrappy that's for sure.

C's are slowly allowing the Spurs to make this game close. The lead is down to three, come on now! Just like that JB forces his offense and JRich gets the charge. Wish he was on our team! The lead is down to one, unreal....

The ball is in JTs hands he gets it to DWhite and RWill hammers it home! Spurs are on offense with a chance to tie. Defense!!!!! Former Celtic JRich ties this game up at 116. Is it possible to trade for him this year?!?

Let's see if the Celtics can execute in this late game situation. JT gets the rock and hits a one footed fall away that's nothing but net! Good D by the C's forces a bad three by the Spurs. Celtics secure the rebound!

In a tight one the C's pull it out vs the Spurs 121-116.

In defense of Marcus Smart

Let me make it clear first of all that I am totally against making a threat of any kind that even hints at harming, or certainly killing, another human being. Marcus Smart was wrong in doing so in the Celtics loss to the tanking Oklahoma City Thunder , and he deserved the one-game suspension. But to be honest, part of me loved that it occurred. . This type of thing can happen when a player gets to a point "beyond frustration" and is having a bad game. Marcus and his teammates have been under-performing generally - were in the process of losing to a pathetic-and-tanking Thunder team - and Smart was having a bad game . And he let loose verbally at the closest target - an NBA official. Wilt Chamberlain did a similar act versus referee, Earl Strom when Wilt was having his usual tortuous time at the free throw line (per Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith): ''He was in one of those 1-for-13s,'' recalls referee Earl Strom. ''Nothing was getting close. S

Did the Celtics Kevin McHale really have a wingspan of 8-feet?

According to many sources, the Celtics Kevin McHale did indeed have an estimated wingspan of 8-feet. He is a Basketball Hall of Fame inductee, and is regarded as one of the best power forwards of all time. He was named to the NBA's 50th Anniversary All-Time Team.
